Superb hotel

The ambiance is rather warm, with neat decor and an atmosphere that quickly makes you forget the impersonal side of some city hotels. You feel that it is designed so that you feel good, not just to spend the night.
The rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and above all pleasant to live in, not just practical. It really changes the perception of the stay, especially after a day of running around the city.
The welcome is also in the same spirit: simple, friendly, and quite relaxed, which contributes to the "cozy" side of the place.
Little plus: it's the kind of hotel where you can easily stay and relax a bit without wanting to go right back out.
In short, a comfortable, warm hotel, and frankly more pleasant than it looks at first glance ✔️

Ideal for a city break

We stayed 2 nights at the Mera and found it perfect for exploring Budapest. Clean and spacious room with air conditioning, in fact the whole hotel was spotless. The staff were very helpful at all times. The room could benefit from a USB charging point but that is being very picky. The location is on the same road as the Basilica. We walked everywhere and the Parliament Building, Margaret Island, the Castle and the Palace were all in walking distance though we did take the funicular railway to Castle Hill.
Do book a night cruise on the Danube but the big red bus tours are expensive and the nearest you get to the Castle and Palace is the funicular.

Lovely hotel in a very good central location. The building and the rooms were modern and well maintained.
Breakfast was ok given it was included in the room rate.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful hospitality

The receptionist was the kindest person I have ever met she offered us lemonades and sweets and recommended nice places to go to here in Budapest. She should get a raise she is amazing!!
