Staff was very friendly and helpful. Luggage storage before check-in was not a problem.
Location is great. Very central and close to everything you need. I was not bothered by any noise even though it’s close to bars and a food street market.
Rooms were fine, bed was big and had two power outlets and a curtain that could block out most light. Lockers was big enough for a big bag. AC works well. You can get a clean towel everyday, which is a big positive thing. Areas are clean and tidy.
Bathroom was unfortunately below expectations regarding cleanliness and tidiness - and the practical design was lazy, no counter to place your belongings etc. But the toilets were not in stalls, but separate rooms, which is such a positive bonus!
I didn’t use the kitchen nor the shared social facilities.
Overall a pleasant stay and would book again if a hostel was my only choice. If they fixed the bathrooms in terms of cleanliness and tidiness I’d have given it five stars.

Must stay

The hosts are really helpful and nice, greets you every time . The pub crawl was so much fun, must recommend. I stayed at female dorm and was very satisfied, the curtains on the bed gives you perfect privacy.
The streets could be loud in the night but its doable with windows closed

Great location, super friendly staff, great for solo travelers and meeting people

Great location, rooms are pretty basic buy kept clean and well maintained. Lovely reception staff and always smiley and happy to help! Also given the location, surprisingly not noisy at night - would recommend this place and choose to stay here again!
Love the WhatsApp group and all of the excursions and events on offer.

Perfect for a short stay

Atmosphere 8/10 - student like
Rooms 8/10 - we were in a 2 person room, nice for short stay
Value - 9/10 - we used the breakfast option, it was convenient
cleanliness 10/10
noise level 7/10 - it is a middle of city, but after 10 pm it was quiet
service - 9/10 - helpfull staff
We recommend stay in Maverick!
