The adorable village of Lindos features its Acropolis, the famous beach of St. Paul, several restaurants (for all budgets) and bars/pubs.
It is a picturesque place of the island of Rhodes. It is about 40 km away from the homonym town. It is a must-see of the island, but I suggest swimming in another beach. The local market is really nice.
A worthwhile excursion that has it all: a compact beach with restaurants, an optional donkey ride up to a welcome fresh orange juice check-point, a steep walk through beautiful typically Greek streets and lushly decorated homes up to the impressive Acropolis. Not to be missed on the way up is the 5-star 'Melenos' hotel for a cool drink in the terrace lounge.
Lindos is probably the most popular resort on the island of Rhodes, located on the east coast at about 47 km from the island’s capital (50 km from the airport) . The village, once the capital of the island, today is an attractive holiday resort evolving around the picturesque, whitewashed, preserved medieval village, topped with a fortified ancient Acropolis, reached through a series of steps, which can be ascended on donkeys.
