Great central place to stay in Alloch with easy access to airport by S Bahn and Central Mu ich.

A unique 'aparthotel' with coded entry and lovely accommodation. Central and only 2 mins to bus and train station. Shopping mall and restaurants next door. Very clean.

Great base if you want to stay in Munich cheaply

The building is near an S-bahn station and a small shopping center. There are some restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are modernly furnished. Access to the building and the room is via a 6-digit code that you will receive in advance by email or text message. It is difficult to enter this code; numbers often stick. Sometimes had to try to get in again up to 7 times. It does not feel nice to depend on a code instead of a key or key card.

The Beginning of a Holiday from Hell

We stayed in the Bunker over 10 years ago and enjoyed it. The Bunker is owned by the same landlord who runs Sunnyside Apartments which I have also had the displeasure of reviewing. Under no circumstances, as an international traveller, book at the Bunker unless you want a miserable experience. In the middle of nowhere, opposite a munitions factory in deepest suburbia, you will undoubtedly find yourself locked out from the fortress as indeed I was! I attempted to get back into the Bunker. My international wifi did not work, I had to waylay a nice German guy to phone my husband who was up on the 3 Floor to let me in. The access code at the fortress door is so impossibly difficult to navigate, if you arrive at night prepare to sleep in your car. Ridiculous.

Good location but questionable handling of feedback

Already in 2024 we were guests at this hotel and had a consistently positive stay. The check-in was uncomplicated, the rooms were clean and spacious. We were particularly impressed by the communal roof terrace, which invites you to linger with a beautiful view over Allach. Due to this all-round pleasant experience, we decided to book the hotel again – this time together with friends.
Even during this stay everything worked perfectly at first. Minor flaws, such as a somewhat sluggish control panel for the access code on one of the rooms as well as two small coffee spots in the room, we found to be insignificant and in no way worthy of complaint.
In the evening, we wanted to use the roof terrace advertised on Booking.com as well as on the hotel website – as before. To our surprise, the entrance to the 4th floor was Upper floor, however, cordoned off. The impression was created that this floor is now either privately used or permanently rented. We politely shared our disappointment with the landlord. In our message we expressed our regret at the changed circumstances and asked to adapt the description of the accommodation accordingly in the future. In this context, we also mentioned the coffee stains already mentioned.
The next day, the stain was removed by a cleaner – for us, that was the end of it.
However, we were surprised by the reaction of the management on Booking.com. Among other things, the reply stressed that there was no entitlement to use the roof terrace as this was a voluntary additional service. In addition, in our view, we were inappropriately portrayed as pedantic – especially with regard to the coffee stain mentioned in passing. We found the wording that our review was about the “revenge of the little man” to be completely inappropriate and not very professional. This referred to a negative evaluation, which was neither created by us nor meets our claim to constructive criticism.
Such statements inevitably raise questions about the general attitude towards guests and the quality assurance in the house. If superficial contamination is not already eliminated, what about less obvious hygiene defects?
Of course, you could cite other minor criticisms – such as the somewhat outdated bathroom or the fluctuating hot water temperature. What is really remembered, however, is how to deal with constructive feedback.
I rarely write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to do so. The hotel itself is neat and centrally located, but I cannot make a recommendation given the lack of criticism and the inappropriate response of the management.
It is to be hoped that in the future at least the accommodation description will be revised promptly – not least to save other guests a similar experience.

Nice interesting hotel

You check in without staff. On the day of arrival you will receive the access code by mail, which allows you to check in easily. You don't see any staff. Rooms were well equipped and clean. Disadvantage: We had booked the accommodation for 5 days and did not even see a cleaning lady. We didn't like that. The towels had already been changed in between.
