Staff wasn't expecting foreign guests and the checking process was very slow. They forgot to extend the room card while we paid our room with another transaction on a different day.
Plenty shops and restaurants around. Close to 2 metro stations (within 1km).

Horrible

Not recommended unless you are interested in studying fungus cultures which are flourishing in the bathroom. also this place has never seen a vacuum cleaner. Staff does not speak English. Breakfast is not recommended either.

Not a good place

Very impolite staff and management. Poor Wifi. When I stayed there they didn't tell me when breakfast ended, had issues with registering me, and they were renovating the place. Renovating is not really the issue, but how they handled it was. They came to my room in the evening of the second day to tell me that I had to change rooms, instead of simply putting me in a room not involved with the renovation. The third day they came to my new room after 10:00 PM to change me to another room. I didn't use the WiFI that night, so I didn't notice that there was none. They knew WiFI was important to me because when they changed my room the first time I wouldn't approve the change until I checked it. It was so late the second time I didn't check until the next morning. I went down early in the morning to inform them of the issue and waited for two hours and nothing was done and I had meetings to attend and I left. When I got back to the hotel I reminded them of the issue and waited. It took over an hour to speak with a manager who did nothing but apologize and give excuses and didn't do anything. A long portion of that time was waiting in the lobby for the manager. I eventually collected my belongings and left.

Convenient location, adequate room and facilities.

I stayed there on a business trip for 8 nights. The hotel is situated on a pleasant, quiet street with lots of small shops and eating places, quite close to an underground station.
I had a single room which was rather small and basic (e.g. no closet). The room was clean, serviced every day, clean towels etc. There's air condition and a TV (only Chinese channels), and the usual slippers, shoe-shine cloth, kettle & tea.

Small, basic but acceptable

Stayed at the Long Ge Hotel for three nights. Reception no English speaking (got by OK though), rooms small but clean. Little room between bed and furniture. Breakfast OK, no coffee though and plastic plates. Slightly run down area, but with plenty of character. 10 mins from Subway on foot, 10 mins on subway to the Olymic Park and China National Conference Centre. Overall, acceptable low cost accomodation if you have a lttle basic Mandarin under the belt.
