Complies with the service, has nothing left over

After the second night, we had to ask the concierge at the hotel where they sent us for breakfast to please change the mattresses. In fact, the apartment is very complete, but the single mattresses of the double bed (they come together for marriage) were in very poor condition, our backs hurt after sleeping. The rest of the service was spotless: maid every day, change of sheets and towels. They should invest in new mattresses, as it is a pity that they clean every day, offer an excellent breakfast and there is a heated pool in the hotel, when in fact the mattresses are already generally old.

Met our needs

These accommodations were exactly what we expected. We appreciated the apart style hotel which provided private spaces for each family member. It was safe, comfortable, conveniently located with helpful staff and adequate breakfast (in the main hotel a short walk away). The best part of this hotel is the rooftop pool and small sun deck area. While the pool was very cold, the loungers provided the opportunity to sit in the sun with a great view of the city! My only suggestion is that the room is tired and could use a little freshening up and the floors mopped. The value for the amount paid was very good and as a result we would recommend staying here.

Good basic facilities

There appear to be dozens of these types of facilities offered in Santiago, many with confusing similar names. After much research (and careful reading of TripAdvisor reviews), I chose this one -- and we were very happy. There's no view. The housekeepers are keen, but haven't figured out how to keep modern wood floors clean enough for barefoot residency. (The bottoms of our feet were a little too black!) Otherwise the cleanliness is just fine. The kitchen is too tiny for serious food prep, but we didn't come to Santiago to eat at home. The master bedroom is much too crowded; they should simply remove the big "dresser" at the foot of the bed, which leaves less than one foot of space to get around the bed. The TV should be mounted on the wall. The reception desk at the Hotel Diego Velasquez provides excellent service (and the hotel resto is excellent; see my separate review). The key question: Would I return to Andes Suites on a return visit to Santiago? Si.

Excellent location, nice staff, noisy street

Centrally located, just east of the center of the city (el centro), Providencia appears to be the hub of shops and offices. Short drive to Vitacura (the new gourmet area for dining and interesting food shops), easy drive east to Las Condes. and the airport is 1/2 hour to 1 hour away depending on traffic. Metro stations just a couple of blocks away and excellent parking facilities included under the building making it easy to get from your car to your apartment via an elevator. The building and parking was very safe with 24 hour security.
Very clean, daily cleaning service, towels, soap, shampoo. Excellent breakfast included in the hotel building just 1/2 block away.
The apartment is fairly modern, with kitchen appliances to make a quick coffee and toast or have a glass of wine. No pots or cooking utensils.
We were here in the winter and the heat was a little too hot (but we were never cold).
Ask where your apartment is located in the building (excellent email correspondence). Our apartment was on the 2nd floor facing the street Diego de Velazques and Nueva Providencia and above a restaurant that noisily closes at midnight and opens before 8 am. The noise from traffic on the street could be heard all night. I easily resolved this problem with ear plugs.
The staff is extremely accomodating.

Excellent apart hotel!!!!

I'm Chilean and live in USA.
Because of my work, few of my coworkers and me have to go to Chile to install some machinery and we decided to stayed at this apart hotel and hotel (Diego de Velazquez) and the experience was excellent. The Hotel Diego de Velazquez is the one that runs this apart hotel and the service is excellent in both places. Personally I stayed in both. This is my third time here and I will keep coming back as long as our business continue in Chile.
The staff is always friendly and willing to help you with everything you need. I was in charge of reserving all the rooms from my colleagues from USA but also from Austria, Italy and Mexico, and Mr. Jorge Flores (hotel manager) did everything in his power to have us as comfortable as possible.
The location is perfect.
Since none of us have a car to drive in Santiago we have to walk to go for dinner or lunch every day, but there are so many options to eat just minutes away from the hotel and apart hotel that we didn't have any problems. Plus it is a very safe area.
Free breakfast everyday, very good WiFi, nice rooms, good location, nice people, and good price. You can't beat that.
Ahh I forgot to mention they have a restaurant attached to the hotel which is very good too.
