Outstanding experience - luxury quality bedding, and reasonable price for a last minute booking during peak travel season. Very happy!

Keefer House is a brand new building and the apartments are wonderful! Everything is spotlessly clean and the units are well appointed. Staff are helpful and responsive. We truly enjoyed the apartment itself.
I’m deducting a star strictly for the location. Chinatown is a cool historic district with a ton of little shops and local restaurants to choose from. Unfortunately it borders an extremely rough part of town. Whether this would be an issue for you really boils down to your choice for transportation. We used public transit and had to walk a few blocks to do anything we had planned, to get to a bus stop. This took us through many people on the sidewalk who were actively using or selling drugs, sleeping, etc. Of note though, none of these people bothered us or actually caused us problems. It’s just really really sad and probably not what you’re going for on vacation.
I would not stay here again unless I had a car or planned to Uber/Lyft everywhere I went. That said, if I had a car, I would definitely stay here again because the building itself is wonderful and Chinatown is really cool.

We loved our stay in one of the
rooftop rooms. Everything was clean and the beds and pillows were luxurious. It was so convenient to have a kitchen and laundry while on vacation.
Our kids enjoyed it as much as we did.

My review of 2 stars basically reflects 2 major disappointments: 1) The location is quite horrific. It is located in a small pocket of Vancouver that is inundated on every surrounding block (and especially alleyways) of tragic homeless and drug addicted human beings. They are either alone or in groups- shooting up, smoking pipes, laying on the streets in pools of urine and worse, bleeding with open wounds, screaming, and the list goes on. It was unworldly to see, and I live in San Francisco and have seen some really horrible street scenes over the years. I feel like Keefer House should give a warning, or at least a disclosure, as to what to expect with what felt apocalyptic and zombie-town like. It was horrible seeing human beings suffering and literally dying all around you. 2) I stayed at the same as good friends of mine, who booked on the same platform as I did and around the same time. I was on the 3rd floor; they were on the 7th (much better, by a long shot!). I ended up paying more than $125 per night (my room faced a back alleyway and an old warehouse- absolutely no kind of view except for the neighborhood "scene"). I ran into the GM on my day of checking out and asked about the discrepancy in rates, and was given the most unsatisfactory and quite rude response (after I cleaned the entire room, dishes, and getting my bed linens ready for wash to help the housecleaning staff!). Not a good way to do business. Match the rate! Good notes: Clean room, great bar!

The bathtub definitely needs a bath mat and safety handles. The tub got very slippery.
Parking in the security lot is fantastic. The only issue we had was that the elevator shuts down at 9pm every night. so you have to use the stairs. Which really isn’t horrible except we didn’t realize that the elevator shutdown and we stepped out on P4 and the stairs door closed and locked. Leaving us in the parkade having to walk down the whole parkade at night. Letting guests know about this would be great information to share for parking.
We were very pleased with our stay and look forward to staying with you again in the future.
