Trip of a lifetime

Excellent area. Easy 1.2 km walk along the river to the old town. Great spacious room and very new. Lovely breakfast void of the typical bacon and sausage that you get at chain hotels. Nice touch. Would recommend it as a stay.

Salzburg Suburb - Great for Families

We stayed as a family of 3 in this small B&B in June 2026 for 4 nights. We arrived by train and it was about a 15 minute walk through clean, safe neighborhoods and parks. We loved the area - this is a suburb of Salzburg about a 20 minute walk to the town center. You can also take a bus to the B&B or to the town center. The hotel provides free transportation on all local buses and trains. It is called the "Guest Mobility Ticket SalzburgerLand". This is standard at this time for all Salzburg hotels/hostels. Be sure to ask at the front desk. They kindly printed out ours for us.
Since this is a B&B the staff if not always at the front desk, it closes for lunch and at night. We had given our arrival time in advance to them so they were available when we arrived. The staff mostly speaks German. I am able to speak German so this was not an issue but you may need to use Google translate if you are English speaking only.
The room was very spacious for 3 people. Having a split king was nice too! The beds were comfortable with continental European style pillows. The bathroom was modern but lacked a shower door so water tended to go all over the floor. There were coffee/tea makers in the room. There was also a fan. Our room was downstairs so it was a good temperature during our stay despite a heat wave. The room was cleaned daily in the morning and was very clean each day when we arrived back.
The breakfast buffet was included and quite adequate. It contained fresh bakery items, eggs, some American/British breakfast items on rotation, yogurt, jams and spreads. This was a great way for my 2 teenage sons to start the day.
We loved the proximity to the playground. A lovely park is just steps away and every evening families with children would come out to play. My sons who were 11 and 13 also enjoyed the play structures (more challenging than in the US) and meeting local children. Nearby there is a good outdoor biergarten/restaurant called Fuxn with delicious local foods.

Great hotel 20 minutes on foot to the center

Thanks for the nice welcome, the parking space in front of the door, the fans in the room!
A successful stay in the center of Salzburg!

The only annoying thing in the room was the smell of smoke

Spotless, quiet room just 10-15 minutes from the train station and Old Town.
Breakfast was delicious and every member of the staff made us feel right at home.
I won't hesitate to stay here again!
