Courtyard Hotel Linz

We stayed overnight in Linz after our trip to Hallstatt. The room is comfortable and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. Bar was an amazing success. All the bar staff are very friendly.

Wonderful

We had a 4 night stay in Linz and had the most fabulous staff looking after us in all ways and extremely kind. Our big thanks goes to Yana from Ukraine, Mudine from Macedonia and Manager Taj from Syria. They really understand Marriott hospitality, warm welcome and great care. The hotel should be very proud of these 3 wonderful and amazing people!!! In addition the Breakfast staff was absolutely wonderful serving a lovely buffet. We felt very at home. Congratulations!

NEVER AGAIN THE WORSE

First and last time ,because of the treatment I received for MOD Mrs. Brunner; the problem it was I booked the lower rate like always because I'm Titanium Elite ,when I arrived to the hotel they said the fare is " just when you have a ticket to the event "
Imagine I booked fro.the airport rush...When I tried to talked to the person in charge she was so inflexible indeed also I said if " I like the hotel I'm going to stay one more night" she didn't care , She said " you need to book in the other fare without consent my status of the Bonvoy,of course the next day I didn't stay. The lady in the FD Gracia she was so nice and she tried to help me

Dear Robespierre M
Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at Courtyard by Marriott Linz. I’m sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with the handling of your booking and your interaction with the MOD. Your concerns about how your Titanium Elite status was addressed are important, and I understand how this situation would feel frustrating. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that the previously reserved rate could not be applied to your stay, as our internal policy requires presentation of an event ticket for linz to qualify for that rate. On a positive note, I’m glad to hear that Gracia at the front desk provided you with kind and helpful service during your visit. Your feedback will be shared appropriately to ensure that every guest feels valued. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.
I truly hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith in us and provide you with a much better experience in the future. kind regards

Unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons

Since entering my dotage period, staying at international large hotel groups is no longer part of my normal schedule. Visiting this hotel with my colleague ,a platinum member of Marriott, should have been much better.
I found the entrance and reception area somewhat baffling, thinking I was entering into a carpentry factory. For me it lacked the warmth of welcome and I failed to understand the cold demeanour the architect the architect had designed
Perhaps some living warmth, some greenery may have altered things!
As one expects in a four-star hotel, the reception, the room the bathroom, the beds together with the professionalism of the staff was very good.
Now, the end of the eulogies.
My wife and I, both with medical conditions felt the cold in the room and unfortunately the central heating did not function properly. Nonetheless, housekeeping eventually came up with a solution with extra duvets and a portable heater. This was most helpful as we both later required the assistance of the Red Cross .
The breakfast, an excellent assortment of food
Unfortunately breakfast stops promptly at 9:30. Our experience on the first morning taught us that one needs an hour to enjoy this occasion. This was a false premise, especially having mobility problems. The dining room can only be described as one of pandemonium. Two of the automatic tea and coffee dispensers were not working with the remaining ones being mobbed by long queues of at least 10 people. In the first half hour I observed that there were no waitresses hearing away dirty dishes, consequently new arrivals found difficulty in finding a clean acceptable table . Quickly mounds of dirty crockery Found a home on any available table. The management were certainly not managing and we're nowhere to be seen. No extra staff had been allocated to this problem, no electrician or service engineer was present. Many of the clients in this transit hotel with tight schedules ,were obviously inconvenienced. In view of my problem, it was impossible to complete a breakfast in this time. At 9:30 a waitress promptly told us they were closing and you have to finish off our breakfast. This bottleneck , possibly this could have been probably resolved by extending the breakfast time. Unfortunately it didn't seem that difficult logistical solution. I remember being in better trained army NAFFIS than this hotel !
Would I come here again - No, would I recommend this currently to anyone again - No Is this really the best Marriott hotels can do when faced with a problema, pp'but, I hope that their international team of inspectors can give responsible at the top a shake up.

Dear william t,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We truly regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and that several aspects of your visit caused inconvenience to you and your wife.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the discomfort caused by the room temperature and the challenges you faced during breakfast service. Your comments about the heating issue, the limited breakfast time, and the overall dining experience have been noted with great concern. We understand how important comfort and accessibility are, especially for guests with medical conditions, and we are deeply sorry that we fell short in these areas.
Your observations regarding the reception area and the atmosphere are also valuable to us. We appreciate your suggestions for creating a warmer and more welcoming environment and will share them with our Management team for improvement.
We are committed to improving our services and ensuring that such situations do not occur again. Your feedback will be reviewed with our management team to implement necessary changes, including staffing during peak breakfast hours and maintenance responsiveness.
Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide the level of comfort and hospitality you deserve.
