Front desk girl was super rude would take you out of line and snap at you. They let kids run rampant throughout hostel unsupervised yelling all night. Topbunk had no safety to climb no chairs etc was super dangerous. Was pretty clean for a hostel good location

Good Location for a Cairns Stay

Great location to be able to walk everywhere in Cairns. I was impressed how close everything was. I had a private room which was decent and ok for a few nights. It was very loud as fas as a hostel goes so bring earplugs. I never had breakfast or used any of the facilities!

We're sorry to hear that noise affected your experience. As a hostel, there can be times when shared spaces are busier, but we do have a quiet hours policy from 10pm to 8am. Guests are always welcome to let our reception team know if they're being disturbed so we can address the situation as quickly as possible. There is always a staff member onsite overnight, so if reception is closed, guests can simply press the intercom at the front entrance or call our YHA Cairns Central phone number for assistance. We also have complimentary earplugs available from reception for anyone who would like a little extra help getting a good night's sleep.

An amazing hostel with a great vibe. Close to supermarkets and public transport. Def would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay here.

Great experience. Very chill and kind staff. You can download key on your google wallet which is such great help. The common areas were all usually clean, except in the evening when the toilets would get a dirty as people used it. But generally, everyone was very respectful. Very safe. I enjoyed my stay there.
