Rhodes Airport

Rhodes International Airport, also often known as "Diagoras" or Diagoras International Airport (Κρατικός Αερολιμένας Ρόδου, "Διαγόρας" in Greek) is the 4th busiest airport in Greece, and is the sole commercial airport of Rhodes, the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands. The airport is located approximately 14km southwest of the capital city of Rhodes, Rodos, and just north of Paradisi, a small village on the west side of the island.

The airport has a single terminal through which all flights depart and arrive, and the airport is also used by the military. 

Rhodes Airport is a modern airport which is very well equipped with a wide range of passenger services, amenities and facilities. The airport has several ATMs, a bank, and a bureau de change, as well as a cafe, restaurant and bar selling an assortment of hot and cold food, snacks, and drinks.

The airport also has a duty-free shop (for passengers flying out of the EU) selling tobacco, perfumes, food and drink, and there are several smaller kiosks selling souvenirs, snacks, magazines and newspapers. All shops in the airport are open 24/7. Passengers should note that there are currently no Wi-Fi or conference facilities available at the airport.

 Getting to & from the Airport

Driving hide 

For those driving or getting a lift to the airport, the airport is around a 30-minute drive from Rodos town. The airport offers 230 parking spaces located just 20 metres away from the exit gate of the arrivals. The carpark is open 24/7, and is free for the first 20 minutes, €2 (approx. $3 AUD) for between 20-60 minutes, then an additional €0.50 for every hour thereafter, up to 4 hours. Buses hide 

There are also regular buses connecting the airport with Rodos Town centre. The journey takes around 40 minutes, and a one-way journey costs €2.20. The bus stop is located approximately 300 metres to the left of door 1 of the terminal.

Taxi hide 

Taxis are also readily available from the taxi rank located right in front of the terminal. If you wish to rent a campervan, or hire a car from Rhodes Airport, then this is a great way to explore the island further in your own time.
