At the time of writing, the first hour in the long-term parking section is free with the maximum you’re likely to spend in parking at around the $12 mark – click here to find more information related to parking fees at the airport. When driving into the airport, ensure you follow the signs otherwise, you may wind up in the wrong area.

Once you’re inside the airport, you’ll find a couple of food and drink options and if you need cash, ATMs are located near both of the airport’s dining options. If you need to charge any of your mobile devices before heading off, know that charging stations are located through the terminal building, with free Wi-Fi also on offer right through the terminal building.

What to expect in Colorado

Colorado is a fairly cool climate with high average temperatures hitting around 14°C and low average temperatures dropping belong the 0°C mark. Be aware that Colorado weather is known for changing drastically over the course of just one day (think of Melbourne in Australia).

All kinds of weather conditions are experienced right throughout the year and as Colorado is a high desert, it typically sees less moisture. It is interesting to note, however, that Colorado enjoys more sunny days each year than Florida. The best time to travel tends to be from late June to early August – if you head over during winter, expect to see snow.

As far as food and drink pricing goes, you can expect Colorado to be a value for money destination to enjoy hearty, low-cost meals in. A meal in an inexpensive restaurant is likely to set you back around $12 with a meal for two at an inexpensive restaurant, costing just over $40.

While buying a bottle of water in Australia is likely to set you back around $3 or more, you’re likely to be able to purchase a bottle of water for around $1.50 in Colorado. You will notice, however, that a cup of coffee may be a little more expensive. Transportation is also fairly inexpensive with a one-way ticket on local transport, under $2.
