NOT what is advertised!
We have given the hosts a couple of weeks since we stayed there to see if they change the property description to reflect the actual premises ( as we said they should) but it appears they do not wish to, and hence this review. I'll firstly say the hosts were friendly and we enjoyed walking around the village and meeting some of the locals but we do not like being lied to and ended up with totally inadequate accommodation. This is NOT what is advertised on website.
Generally, the rooms were filthy, scraps of matting on floors, buckets to catch water leaks, The place was dirty (pillows were extremely mouldy under the pillow slips), linen on bed was an old cotton throw, junk and rubbish stacked around corners of room. Front door didn't close properly and blew open when windy.
There is no kitchen. There is no tea or coffee making facilities as there is no power to plug anything into. There is no A/C. Full stop, as there is no mains electricity. There is no bathroom, There is no bath. The shower is some plastic draped around some bamboo poles OUTSIDE the house, with only cold water. There is no water to the accommodation at all. Want to wash your hands you need to find a garden tap. There is no toiletries (as stated) other than some toilet paper for the toilet, which is a communal drop toilet (with a dozen empty toilet roll cores scattered on the floor) located about 20 meters from the rooms. The rooms do have "a view" as there are no curtains on bedroom or any windows or flyscreens for that matter. There are no doors on the three bedrooms, just some material scraps hanging over the door space. The only power is a 12v battery charged by a small solar panel on the roof. Plugged into this were 2 small, weak lights, one for the entrance area and one draped across the walls to a bedroom. The battery ran out of power after a few hours at night which meant we had no light at all and the village had no outside lights after dusk. (making it too difficult to find your way to the village drop toilet). .. Wifi was a portable sim which worked ok at times, but like the lights, ran out of power after a few hours. Owners did try to help a bit like firing up the village generator for a few hours so we could at least charge our phones each night.
If you are looking for very basic, localized accom this may be Ok but this is NOT what is advertised. We are a well-travelled couple, to over 40 countries, from backpacking, hostels, AirBNB , family stays and hotels etc. and have never experienced anything like this when booking.
