This inn was amazing!

We were intrigued by the TA reviews of the Madrones. Wow - this place was amazing!

Return: Yes!
Final thoughts: This inn was close to everything we wanted to explore in Anderson Valley

Amazing experience in the Homestead redwood grove.
Lots of families of redwoods living on property. Spend some time walking the grounds. Take a walk down to Indian Creek check out the baby trout.

A Cannabis-Friendly Paradise in The Emerald Triangle

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Madrones in 2025 and we were blown away by how beautiful the room and grounds were. If that wasn't good enough, the service was incredible, not just at the Madrones, but also at the Bohemian Chemist and Wickson Restaurant.
If you are coming to the Anderson Valley, while there are many great options, you couldn't hope to stay somewhere nicer than the Madrones. Additionally, if you are a cannabis-consumer and want to stay somewhere pot-friendly, no other hotel in the valley has their own dispensary.

Madrones is a great family spot!

We had a fantastic three day stay at the Madrones. The room was well appointed and felt luxurious. The property is so nicely maintained and the landscape is lovely. We visited both tasting rooms, the cannabis shop and the restaurant. Each spot was terrific, service was spot on. Our children loved running through the garden and playing with the cat. This property is an excellent value given how close it is to Napa and Mendecino which tend to be more expensive. I highly recommend the Madrones to anyone driving through for a long weekend visit.

We stayed in the Brambles, Back Porch. Such a beautiful property in the Redwoods. The units are so clean and nice they appear to be very new. Dinner at Wickson's was wonderful our first night. The second night we ordered a pizza from there and took it back and ate at a table outside among the trees.
Yogurts, juice, apples, granola in the kitchen for breakfast and snacks.
