Excellent place, staff

Stayed overnight yesterday and it was fabulous...Gary at front desk ( among his other numerous jobs) was excellent in all aspects!! He was friendly, kept our cooler in freezer, gave us wonderful room, great comfy beds at a wonderful price, late check out.. couldnt ask for more!! the hotel was spotless, lounge was nicely decorated.
The young girl in the kitchen was also fabulous, very attentive, offering help, breakfast was dynamite, no shortage of bacon, sausages, etc.
I would highly recommend this hotel, it's employees..thank you!!

Kind of run-down place. Not very attractive. This place provided the bare essentials and nothing more. Then they canceled breakfast because that person was sick.

An unacceptable experience; if I could have given it a 0, I would have.

star – An unacceptable experience; if I could have given it a 0, I would have.
We had booked a room at the Rodeway Inn in Saint-André (New Brunswick) through Reservation Desk to break up our trip of over 2,000 km. Our reservation was confirmed for four people, with two double beds.
Upon our arrival, we were told that the hotel was experiencing water supply problems and that the reserved room was no longer available.
The only solution offered? A room with one double bed and one single rollaway bed.
There were four of us.
I asked several times where the fourth person was supposed to sleep. I never received a real answer.
Since the hotel was simply not able to honor our reservation, we requested a refund. The manager, Mr. Dumont, refused. We were then told that a partial refund had been issued, but I received no confirmation, and Reservation Desk confirmed to me that they see no adjustment to our file.
The most disconcerting thing is undoubtedly the manager's remark: he explained to us that we could have still enjoyed the pool. With all due respect, the pool does not fix the fact that there was a bed missing for one person. Unless the fourth person is supposed to sleep on the floor...
After we left, I called Mr. Dumont back to express my dissatisfaction. I remained firm, but respectful. I neither insulted nor threatened him. His response? He hung up on me. That is the level of customer service we were subjected to.
Unexpected issues can happen in any hotel. What distinguishes a good establishment from a bad one is the way it takes care of its customers when things go wrong.
In our case:
- our reservation was not honored
- no equivalent solution was offered
- our refund request was denied
- the communication was deplorable
and the manager ended the conversation by hanging up on us.
Reading the many negative reviews about this establishment, I unfortunately realize that our experience does not seem to be an isolated case.
If you are traveling with family or after long hours on the road, avoid this hotel. There are many establishments that deserve your trust and your money much more.
For our part, we will never set foot there again.

Don’t go here!!!

This place was awful. The room was not cleaned well. Including a big bloody snot rocket left on the bed from the previous person. They advertised hot breakfast (bacon eggs) we went down an it was no name cereals without even having milk out. That’s it. Not even toast. They told us they decided not to do it because there wasn’t many guests. So we had to go buy breakfast an wouldn’t refund any amount. The sauna is literally a storage room and obviously hasn’t been functional in forever. Hot tub totally drained and clearly not been open in forever and the pool was open but not cleaned well at all. One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed.

Snot on the bedding. Sauna has been torn out. Dirty pool and no breakfast

Place is a disgrace.
Sauna has been ripped out and is now a storage room. Exercises room “under renovations” likely Indefinitely. Hot tub drained. Snot rocket on the bedding skirt. We went for breakfast in the morning to be told they just weren’t doing it that morning cause it was a holiday Monday. Seriously? Is that not when people are travelling. Pretty sure the shear amount of false advertising is enough for a BBB complaint. Sleep in your car it’ll be a better option than this filth pit.
