Great stay.

Lovely hotel...friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good ..great choice at breakfast. Room was immaculate. Good size, comfortable beds with good quality towels and bedding.Had a fridge in our room, also iron and ironing board. Only cost £5 if you wanted to use the pool or fitness suite for our stay. Highly recommend.

Friendly Staff.

We sta yes for four nights ,the whole of the hotel was so cold that I came home with cold .The bedroom was light and bright over looked the car park .Bathroom was excellent only problem that having a slight disability I find over the bath showers difficult but this was easier than most .Steps up to reception and carrying a suitcase was difficult especially as the step is narrow ,I found that as I need to hold onto a stairwell the one here was hard to hold onto perhaps it should be replaced with a proper rail for safety .Dining room set out like school dinners for coach tours ,food was standard Brittania ,two evenings the same mix veg and French fried chips so nothing that I could eat.The hotel is in a good position for anyone touring the region so why no leaflets of places to visit .I recommend that you put that right asI think that is needed to encourage visitors. The staff in the dining room are always on the go and listen to anything you have to say.It was a long journey both ways one that I doubt we will make again .

On arrival, Nice location, quite a nice looking hotel, a bit dated, lots of white vans. Nice friendly staff. Reasonably priced.
No family's or children in sight, I found out that this hotel is a tradesman stop off for the power station next door for the next 6 years, so it didn't have a holiday vibe what so ever.
We booked a family room for 4 people for our stay but this room WAS NOT available on arrival so we had to cram a makeshift bed in to a very small room and make do for 4 days & nights.
There was a £15 price difference in the rooms but it was not refunded to us, we weren't even offered a free breakfast.
Fire alarms went off at 5.30am by mistake on first morning. Nightmare....
On check out day the cleaner came in our room at 8.30 when we were all still sleeping.
Food in restaurant was OK, Quit expensive for what it was, Breakfast finished way too early for a family, 9am..
The dated swimming pool and spa is extra cost on top of the stay.
A great hotel for trades men, but not a place we would stay at again.

Total dump, disgusting and mouldy! AVOID!

The worst hotel I have ever stepped foot in and I’ve been in a couple of bad ones over my years of working away from home. Felt like a prison cell, concrete walls, no ventilation, damp smell, mouldy bathroom, sockets all unsafe and no sockets beside the bed (due to the concrete internal walls).
The food, wow. Served frozen fish and chips that was deep fried and took about 10 mins to remotely cool down so I could try it. Aye not even half and walked away.
Actually vile, no wonder it’s non refundable from moment you pay. Decor is from the 60s and reminds me of the film ‘The Shining’.
Handed my room key which had a tag that was so sharp you could seriously injure someone with it!
Opened my window to let the damp room breathe and all you smell is weed from the civils workers staying there who are all out in their vans in numbers until after midnight. Absolute dump!

The staff were exceptional but the late 4pm check in and early 10am checkout meant we simply couldn’t use the facilities which we had paid to enjoy. It was a nice, clean comfortable hotel but it felt more like somewhere you would use for work rather than leisure.
