I’ve given one start as no stars wasn’t an option. I would not ever recommend this hotel to anyone. if you want to have no shower after an uncomfortable night sleep, in a dirty room then book here.

Lovat Hotel

Positives:- restaurant food was nice and reasonably priced. Location was great for what we needed.
Negatives not value for money:- breakfast wasn't included in the price £93/night via booking.com. which you would expect at that price. Have stayed in places for less where breakfast was included. Tea/coffee provided in the room but no pre-packed biscuits. Hot tap on wash hand basin didn't work which we advised on check out as we were only staying one night. Carpet had dust along the bottom edge of the skirting. Whole place could do with a makeover with a paint brush. Had to pay £2 for parking because we didn't book direct with hotel - we still paid to stay at that hotel so parking should be free for all paying guests. Probably would stay again

I would never book again. Shower either scalding hot or lukewarm as it was a mixer tap from the bathroom taps. Floor felt like it was going to give way, probably as the shower leaked from the horrendous sealant strip around the bath. Electrics faulty, some lights not working and the main light flashed on and then went off before humming at the switch. Only good thing was the nice young lady who checked us on arrival. Didn’t match any of the images from the website. Looked like it has fallen on hard times. Fire alarm at 7.15am yet no one from the hotel came to the fire point to explain what was happening, etc.

On arrival was informed no breakfast but there was evening meals, parking wasnt great but we managed, shower wouldnt turn off so had to call hotel to come help at a late hour, bathroom door wouldnt close which wasn't ideal with an autistic 6 year old who loves water, hair dryer didnt work but was only PAT tested in June so had to leave hotel with wet hair not good! No one was around when we was looking for some extra toilet roll...so had to buy some from local shop, Asked for our room to be freshened up, was told by front desk that housekeeping would go in to make beds, clean bathroom and replaces towel...only for us to get back and nothing had been done expect for a pile of towels on our bed. They also left bags of rubbish in the room which we had in bags neatly placed which i thought was rather stupid!
