Great location, value for money, view and lovely friendly owners

Mac and Paulette were great hosts and we had a great stay at Flambards. Our room, number 2, was spacious with two single beds and very nice bedding, towels and toiletries. The beds were really comfortable. We both had a bedside lamp and table and easy access to power points for charging phones. There was a kettle, mugs and coffee and tea. Also an offer of fresh milk if we preferred it which was a nice offer. The view of the Welsh hills was lovely.
The breakfasts were excellent. They ask you to complete the breakfast form the previous evening. It is quite comprehensive down to which sauce, red or brown. you might like and you are offered a choice of slots to choose from from 7.30am-9am. Serving was very prompt and efficient. The cooked breakfast was perfectly cooked and I really appreciated the tasty mushrooms that were perfectly cooked (still with some firmness) in butter - delicious.
The property has a very communal space near the dining room - lots of comfortable lounge seating, books, board games and a bar. We didn't have time to use it but it would have been really good for a longer stay or if the weather was too bad to go far.
We mostly saw Mac to chat to and he was very friendly and helpful. We weren't sure about visiting nearby Cenarth Falls in light rain in case it was slippery but he told us there was a long boardwalk and it was good in all weather so we did go and had a great visit.

Lovely location, helpful and friendly staff. Great size room but needs refurbishing, every time moved around on bed it sounded like it was going to collapse or break so didn’t get very good nights sleep. Furniture was very dated and noisy to use. Floorboards also very noisy.

Perfect stay

We stayed one night but wished we had stayed more we could not fault the property. Mac and his wife were so welcoming the chilli we had in the evening was delicious and the breakfast was one of the best we have had all freshly cooked to perfection. The bed was so comfortable and spotlessly clean will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Mac and his wife are excellent hosts they are very welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful all meals are cooked to perfection the breakfast is amazing I would definitely recommend Flambards Hotel 100% for their friendly atmosphere,spotlessly clean rooms and huge breakfasts,I would not hesitate to book again in the future

This hotel was an absolute joy to stay at. The proprietor was dedicated to ensuring all guests have a stress-free visit. His attention to detail was second to none. Our room (5) was spotless and the mattress provided a good night’s sleep. The communal areas (lounge and al-fresco decking) were a lovely surprise and the bar was open until 9pm.
The pre-ordered breakfast was simply one of the best we had ever had.
I would recommend this hotel 100%.
