Really good pub hotel on the outskirts of Brighton. The rooms are clean a comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were all really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend for a good value stay with free parking only a short taxi away from Brighton.

Awful

Awful. Food over cooked
,brown swimming in fat and very crispy so difficult to cut this also applies to the chips!! Mentioned it to staff, NO apologies or even offering of a coffee. Will not be eating here again which is a shame as it's my local. Staff need more training chef needs retraining how to serve decent food. This was my 2nd meal this week.!!!

Restaurant review

4 of us went and not for the first time. 2 of us chose the same drinks, a pint each, we got halfs. We also chose the same from the menu. The new menu did no longer state the calories of the meal. After complaining, we were offered a complimentary desert or drink. Staff was attentive once they turned zp to look after us. Won't be back i a hurry.

Overall ok but the air conditioning want working and we chose this venue as it's a heatwave at the moment. Close enough to Glyndebourne and Brighton to be a convenient stop

Don’t bother awful food and service

Went here for an evening meal, sadly the food was awful I had the tandoori chicken kebab which was burnt and dry, my husband had the butterfly chicken which was also very dry. The waitress did pop over to ask how our food was and when I said it was burnt and inedible she laughed and when she realised I was serious she asked if I wanted it replaced, I said no mainly because we had already waited over 30 minutes for it to arrive!
