Fabulous!

Great location and a great atmosphere here! Second stay and won't be our last! Lovely room, fabulous breakfast and great hospitality from Tony - big shout out to Amber and Brian who were fantastic.

Judgement on autistic child...disgrace

Food and bar staff amazing, however...
A male staff member decided to make a rude and abrupt comment about my autistic son about his lack of trainers...starting the conversation with ...if that was my son...
he continued to judge and lecture me as a parent as he needed support going to the toilet.
Ironically as soon as we got back to the table, the same worker sat with 2 guests next to us and was openingly chatting and swearing with them even though we had 2 young children with us.
it felt like was was 10-20 years ago where autistic behaviour is frowned upon and makes you question whether going out im public is the right idea.
Never again will I put foot in that oub again, shameful.

Good accommodation

Perfectly located on the promenade with parking (however it was busy at times as although it was signed for residents only, it was clear customers/visitors were using it too). We had a room in the barn which had a great view and good space for our family of 3. The room was well laid out and there was plenty of storage with ironing facilities, a hairdryer and toiletries provided in the bathroom. However, the atmosphere was quite noisy (akin to a larger venue), the bathroom extractor fan was not working (no window), areas were dusty/dirty, with cobwebs, and the seals/grouting around the bathroom (including the tiled floor) were in need of repair/crumbling. There was a missing castor on one of the beds that was causing us to almost roll off. Value for money was reasonable - we enjoyed our stay - but just disappointed with the cleaning/maintenance side of things. Breakfast was generally good (photo of day one attached) but did change from day to day depending on the servers/chef each day - the cooked breakfast certainly shrank by day 3.

Gorgeous setting, tired room

Just stayed for one night, nice location, stunning views. Staff were all friendly. Pub itself, drinks and food all good. Our room was disappointing, but did have a gorgeous view. Very dated and shabby with chairs and carpets in need of a clean. Bed itself was clean and comfy with white linen. Bathroom really needs an overhaul, tap drips, water not overly hot, bath grouting was really bad and grubby, shower looked like it would fall off the wall if you used it. This was fine for one night.

Good stay.

Location and Staff were excellent. Rooms were good and good value for money. The only negative was they had a very reduced menu which was different to menu in the room. We had booked a table and it would have been good to have been informed about the reduced menu before ordering drinks and bring seated as we probably would have eaten elsewhere. However the food was good and breakfast excellent.
