Oasis in Entebbe <3

Absolutely lovely place! Well situated, good food, great staff. We stayed in a beautiful little house, and had a relaxed time in the garden and on the terrace. Very recommendable!!

Decent place to stay while waiting for a red eye flight out of Entebbe. The staff are kind and helpful and grounds are nice; it is very close to the zoo and botanical gardens. I was upgraded to a cottage which would have been good, except the room was fairly rough. It was pretty dirty, there were ants coming in through a hole in the wall in the bathroom, and the frame around the bathroom mirror is likely infested with termites as there were termite droppings all over the sink area.
Had I been staying overnight I would have raised these concerns to management, however since I was only there for 5-6 hours waiting for a flight I didn't bother. Overall not the nicest place to stay for any longer amount of time.

Absolutely no recommendation

The pictures here on Tripadvisor no longer correspond to reality. The whole little hotel is run down and unkempt. The pond shown in the pictures was empty. There is no pool. The garden was not well maintained. The rooms have a high ceiling where you could see the cobwebs and dust lint hanging. The walls were dirty. The toilet goggles were so old and unappetizing that you didn't want to sit down. The food was OK. We were rebooked to the hotel for the presidential election. Unfortunately!

Gately is a quaint hotel that is always enjoyable. The staff are courteous, professional and attentive but not annoying. The facility itself is a bit nostalgic and unique, and along with that comes aging plumbing and electrical supply problems. You will enjoy Gately, particularly the staff, but expect a bit older amenities.

The room is average, faced the road and the plumbing was terrible, the flush didn't work properly so it was good that it was just me and not two people in the room. The hotel is average for the price, I am sure there are better deals in the area.
