Best papaya salad on Earth!

Tiger Hut is located right by the beach. The people here are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, fresh, and inexpensive. We highly recommend the papaya salad. It only costs 50 Baht, or less than $2.

Corrupt police operation

This illegally run family "company" is actually run by a corrupt officer with the local police. Officially it is owned by no one. Also they don't have the required hotel liscense for the number of rooms they offer.
The father who is the police officer (tiger), and his son (also a local cop being groomed into corrupcy by his father, helps enforcing their ways of the law.
They'll take your money up front and will kick you out whenever they want, and not because you didn't behave...only to question their "so called authority" at the premises is reason enough for them to harras you of the property.
Furthermore the food is terrible and the service unproffesional. If you want to know whats it like at guantanamo bay? Stay for a week at tiger hut and you will quickly discover!
Tiger Hut gives you the experience of being under scrutiny while all you wanna do is sip that stupid coconut.
Very bad experience indeed.
If you wanna suck up to a corrupt cop, go ahead, stick'em all together and light'em up! A.C.A.B✊️

Excellent food

Didn’t stay here but as we were staying nearby we ate there in the evenings and it was perfect. Some western dishes available but of course excellent Thai dishes too. Service very good. Value for money.

Fotos shown in tripadvisor are old, huts a new build in massive construction, way better than the old wooden huts.
Its a great place, owners are very friendly too. Stayed in first row 10m to the ocean with toilette and shower for 900 baht.
Was the best sleeping place i had during my whole Trip.

basic huts on the beach

Although I would like to keep this adres a secret they deserve a great rating. Basically it's a bed, a shower and a toilet but these newly renovated huts on the beach are also the summum of a tropical holiday on the beach (if you like to travel basic). Clean but no hot water, no wifi, no luxury but... loads of atmosphere amongst the guest and the hosts which is a generous Thai family with a soft spot for disabled dogs. Great food
