Value for money!

This place had the best value for money of any of the hostels we’ve stayed in in Thailand. It’s so cheap for a big double room with an en-suite. Yes you bring your own toiletries and the decor is simple as expected but most certainly worth the money.
The previous reviews suggest an A/C room is best but this would be expected with the climate in Thailand. The fan and AC are very powerful and the comfortable beds made for a good nights’ sleep. The host is also wonderful and can’t do enough to help, they let us leave the bags in a secure room on the last day and still use the hostel facilities. The water pressure is very good, they have exercise and reading equipment as well as a communal sofa area. Drinking water, a kettle and microwave is also provided. The location is good for shops and restaurants/bars. The hostel is generally quite quiet due to the concrete floors and safe from the lockable gate at night. Washing machines and areas to hang clothes in the hostel area are very helpful for travellers.
Everything you could ask for from a cheap and cheerful hostel.

Most dishonest place in town.

We paid in advance, but when we came the room was given. No sorry, only: here is your money and go. High season.. It means: i don't care about costumers only about the money. So we left. Again no sorry. So if you look for a honest place in Chiang mai. DON'T GO THERE.

It did the job!

If you don't care much about a nice ambience and large rooms and natural light, you'll be happy here. For the price, the hostel is very well located and has all the necessities of a hostel, but nothing more. The staff is always there and ready to help you. Nevertheless, the larger rooms smell slightly of mold. The beds aren't luxurious, but they're not catastrophic either, just satisfactory. If you really want to meet new people, this is probably the wrong place for you.
Conclusion:
For a group of three backpackers, this hostel was completely sufficient. You're very close to many sights, so you save yourself a lot of tuk-tuk rides.

Uninhabitable. Avoid at all costs

Gone into out new hostel and the room is vile. Hasn’t been cleaned - cobwebs and rubbish all over the floor. There’s two plug sockets, one of which doesn’t work whilst the other is falling off the wall. The state of the sink is indescribable as how dirty and disgusting it is, the toilet is covered in mould on the seat and there’s little things hanging off the ceiling we don’t know what it is. There’s lose cables just in the room and the staff were very unhelpful and almost seemed to find it funny

Great hostel!

I stayed there during Songkarn festival (April 2018) which is highly demand ,but here is reasonable price, not expensive at all. At that time is the hottest weather in Thailand but I don't feel hot at all even though there is only a fan in the room. However, I felt that the shower water was quite smelly. Anyway the staff and owner were nice, and friendly. For overall I thought it worth my money.
I booked via Traveloka. so I get a coupon that made it more inexpensive. and I feel bad that I didn't write the review in the application so I did it here.
I got the second room (can not remember the room number) on the right hand near by the stair 2nd floor.
Oh last concern was I don't know when people use the stair can see what i were doing or not LOL but it nice that they have small flat tv, fridge, a chair and table. Bed was okay.
Free motor bike parking.
Close to old town.
