Classic Hotel

I have read a few reviews and I must say this is a question of choice: do you prefer a hyped-up modern hotel or a classic one. Here’s my review: the hospitality you receive at this hotel is extraordinary. You enter and right away you receive a welcoming handshake. What I loved the most was that it was not hyped up and everything modern like the other hotels. This hotel has a uniqueness. I feel that it kept its original idea and that’s what makes it unique. The room was clean with a nice view. Went out for a walk. Before being able to step fully out of the hotel I was asked if advice was needed and if the rooms were pleasant. I must honestly say that it’s the first hotel I have been to where the staff really and truly cared about their guests. I felt like it wasn’t fully about the money for them but also about the experience the guests receive through their stay. I cannot complain about their food. Loved their salad. The village itself it very cute and still has a few original “houses”. As I walked through the village it felt like it carried a lot of history. The view itself is priceless! The hotel is good for families, single or couple. It's all about the experience! Overall, it's as I said previously. This hotel is style is classic and stays true to its history. If you prefer a modernized hotel this may not be the best pick for you. Nonetheless, I do recommend you give it a try.

Good hotel

A charming room with very small toilet / shower. We ended up here by chance when the car broke down and the tow truck dropped us off at the hotel. We had a number of bags and even more in the car outside a workshop. The village has no taxi movement. We asked the owner for a taxi, but got no help / offer of a ride. We also got the wrong directions to the garage by the owner (opposite the church). Once we dragged your luggage, we discovered the garage was on the other side of an airfield. A kind woman saw our plight and drove us to the garage.

Quite expensive for what you get.................

We stayed one night at this hotel.
The room has recently been renovated and is ok but the bathroom is COZY. There about 50 cm between the toilet and the shower. The shower itself is tiny with a horrible shower curtain. If you are little larger than an average person you will not fit into this bathroom.........................
Food and service are ok.
We were surprised how little Corona measure were taken at the Breakfast buffet. No hand sanitizer available, open cold meats and cheeses, bread open and several things to be touched by several people...............not really what you expect during Covid-19 times.

A wonderful welcoming hotel

We stayed here overnight as a cycle up the Furka pass was planned!
Very welcoming hotel, with a great atmosphere!
We took our lovely dog with us, pet friendly!
Our room was not in the main hotel but a house nearby. The room was clean, looked newly converted. Great hot water but unfortunately there was no heating. Very cold - glad the duvets were cosy!
We had a wonderful meal - do try the rösti-
But not the châsse- my plate of meat was very chewy and tasted like it had been in the freezer too long - certainly not fresh!!!
There was live music, very festive!
So in conclusion, worth a visit, stay in the main hotel , stick to the menu, and enjoy the cycling!

Very good location
