Top 3-star hotels

I needed a hotel room for one night at short notice and chose the Hotel Engel in Stans, a very good choice. The room was newly renovated, very clean and modern. I especially liked the modern bathroom, the great coffee machine and the quiet atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable so I could sleep well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For a 3-star hotel absolutely top – clear recommendation!

Family outing

While looking for a hotel for a weekend stay in the Emmeten area, I came across the Hotel-Restaurant Engel in Stans.
That was the best decision to stay there with the family and have dinner.
The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. The rooms are good size, comfortable bed.
The food was excellent
I can only recommend it.
We would love to come again.

Very good hotel, 5 star Service - TOP!

We had booked for one night in this historic house, which is top modern and stylish inside, and are completely enthusiastic.
The room was bright and large, the same goes for the modern bathroom. Great restaurant in the house, breakfast in quality and selection great. Free parking on site.
The absolute highlight is the Service. How the employees deal with the guests is top class! This was perfect Service, always attentive, friendly, personal.
Thank you very much. We will come back.

An amazing dog friendly hotel in a cool village nearby to Lake Lucerne

I stayed in hotel Engel with my wife, youngest daughter and dog on the way home from a road trip to Croatia. We had two rooms a single and a double. The single wasn't much smaller than the double which was a good size. The bathroom was literally spotless. The shower cublicle looked like it had just been finished and I was the first person in it. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and the food was great. I had a local draught beer which was very nice indeed and ate a cheese board in the evening before bed. The staff are really nice and the hotel is genuinely dog friendly. Stans is an amazing place. I hadn't done enough research so wasn't prepared for how beautiful it is. The open top cable car is a must and if you want to go to Lake Lucerne you can catch a train right behind the hotel. I liked it here a lot and would definitely return.

absolute top class!

A stay that leaves nothing to be desired! The hotel and restaurant is simply outstanding. The excellent cuisine was particularly impressive – every dish was a work of art, both taste-wise and visually an absolute treat. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, you feel welcome and well looked after from the first minute. Rooms modern and spacious.
A place you like to return to – absolute top class!
