Recommended hotel in Naters

Hotel with small rooms, everything available, beds very good, the rooms facing the street are partly a bit noisy. Breakfast excellent good selection, parking available. Thank you again. Receptionist and staff very friendly.

One of the windows had popped.out of the frame and hence the room was not safe. Nobody told me the reception is in another building and fortunatly there was a girl came out of the building and she showed me that the reception is in another building about 100m from the accomodation. The communicatiin should have been better. The floor number is not in the card. Better to pht a notice on the entry door mentioning that the reception is 100m away as then everyone cone there know where to pick up the key.

Clean and comfortable

There are two hotels and the one I stayed in is the cheaper variety but you register at the other hotel. My room was clean and comfortable and had a small balcony. It is situated in Naters the opposite side of the river but walkable to Brig railway stations for both the MGB and SBB in barely 15 minutes over the river. The main hotel has a superb restaurant with great food and wines / beer which were very welcome indeed on the night of my stay

Mediocre hotel

Upon arrival (at dusk) we find a dark building, without decent lighting. It took a while before an employee from a hotel diagonally opposite was willing to receive us and allocate the rooms. The hallway on the side of the building led to the 'reception' and the lady quickly put the entrance tickets in our hands. Afterwards we NEVER saw anyone at the 'reception' again during the 3 days we stayed there. The rooms were renovated in 2015, so they had what would be expected in a mediocre 3-star hotel, but no air conditioning (a fan was in the way) and an unstocked minibar and no place to put the suitcases. In desperation, we left the suitcases open in front of the door at night, because storage space for your clothes was very minimal. You couldn't turn your butt there, the room was so small. One person could move at a time, the other just had to wait until it was his/her turn. One good thing: the mattresses!

I had a single room in the Adhoc building. It was so warm in the room I couldn’t sleep without the window being open the whole night. Of course someone kept smoking in a balcony so the smell would come to my room.
I got s message before check-in containing a pin code for self-service check-in. I never needed that code, I only needed to add my last name. The check-in kiosk was weirdly located right next to the front door of the Ad Astra hotel, so everyone walking by could see what you were writing. I didn’t quite get it.
The room was clean, but the warmth was just too much, and it’s only April. Can’t imagine what it would be in July!
Also the bathroom door had a really heavy magnet closure, it was difficult to open it. And the shower had a really tight door as well, had to use my whole body to get it to open.
