OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE HOTEL ALETSCH MÖREL IN UPPER VALLIS
good hotel ,just next to the mountain railway to RiEDERALP,and 2 mn to the train station,man is only 2 mn.
The room,ok I booked one the cheapest,c.a 90 chf.
then of course expected me on something easy,but that all works in the room would be better.
Man could also the defective thing
repair before renting a room,and renting at an expensive price.
The food in the restaurant was very good..

When you go out of the opening,
Must man through interdoor,then is on
Mountain railway waiting sal .The door goes out automatically,if you want to go back to the hotel then you have to push the door a little .
Outside the opening, the cable car, which should wait closed.
a bit complicated when you want to get out at night
You can't just go back in.
The breakfast buffet was very good, friendly staff.
For one night good,for several nights
Book more comfortable rooms.

A real disaster.
In advance: the hotel costs 120 CHF per night in a double room. So our expectations were already pretty low.
But the following should be noted: in the rooms, cleanliness is obviously not the first priority. The walls in the bathroom are littered with black spots (mold?). There are also 2 outlets in the entire room. If you consider that 2 people want to charge their phones and add power banks and batteries for the SLR camera, then unfortunately it looks grim. This is also unexcusable with the low price.
The top hammer, however, was breakfast. A complete disaster. Lovelessly placed and the breakfast room uncomfortable like nothing else. In response to my question about a breakfast egg, the waitress gave me "that she was alone and didn't have time for it". When asked if there are also rolls (because there were only 2 croissants allocated per table as well as a single bread from which you could help yourself!!!), I received in response "what do I expect for 60 CHF per person?!? It's not in there anymore."
Quite outrageous these reactions. Because as a guest I am not interested in the roster and ultimately I still pay the full price per room.
Back to the room: small and narrow. With 2 suitcases and 2 travel bags we could only move with difficulty. The toilet seat slid back and forth and you had the feeling of falling at any moment. The hairdryer is the joke par excellence. Apparently an apperature from the early Middle Ages. Here the handle itself became so hot after a few minutes that you could hardly touch it, but the hair was still wet as hardly any air arrived to dry.
Too bad we booked 2 nights here. Never again. Terrible.

Nice for a short stay
A typical Swiss mountain hotel right next to the cable car. Not modern but perfectly clean and nice. Good food - if a little expensive, but then it is Switzerland. Good beer and fast WiFi. Some parking.

Not Bad but Not Good!
This was the only restaurant open after 9pm but I wish I hadn't bothered! The staff were friendly enough when they could be bothered. But the food a Rosti with vegetables and cheese was pretty bad, the Rosti was not cooked before toppings were added and then it was covered by A LOT of greasy cheese. I was hungry and managed to eat under half and then felt unwell because of the amount of cheese/grease. We did did return a couple of other times, but just for drinks while waiting for the train, it is literally 2 minutes walk to train stop.

Perfect Location: In the same complex as the cable car station.
Aletch, Morel, is in the same block as the tourist information office, and the mountain lift station, so you can take your choice of cable car or gondola to Reiteralp, without setting foot outdoors. For those arriving by train, the hotel is also directly opposite the train station. (Note however that the mountain trains are almost silent, and come and go unnoticed)
The staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful, but like many in this area of Switzerland, speak little English.
My room was basic, but spotlessly clean. The hotel's own free wifi is poor, but there are 2 other free wifi services available, one operated by the tourist office next door.
The hotel bar and restaurant is a focus of the village, being close to train and lift stations, and so they do a good trade, but the hotel rooms are quiet.
In summary, a basic, well appointed, and friendly, country inn.
