Good experience - I will be back!

The hotel has a pub but also a separate breakfast room. The room was recently renovated, offering all amenities one would expect in a 4-star hotel. Very comfortable bed and linen. Great location! Very good experience - I recommend and will be back!

Great hotel but a bit expensive.

Wife and I stayed at Hotel Freihof for one night while traveling through Glarus. It was a great hotel with some funky 80s decor. The young man at the bar/check in was very nice and accommodating. He was very welcoming and we had a good conversation while checking in. The only draw back to this hotel is the price. It was very expensive for what it is. I would stay here again but would prefer to find cheaper lodging with the same offerings.

Bon hôtel

L’accueil est courtois et nous enregistrons dans le bar. Nous avions eu des craintes par rapport aux bruits nocturnes généré par ce type de lieu. Mais en fait, pas du tout, aucune nuisance sonore ne nous a dérangé.
La chambre est tout à fait correcte, et la literie est de bonne qualité.
Le petit déjeuné est un buffet simple, mais complet.
Le parking public est une zone bleue qu’il faut gérer selon son arrivée et départ avec le disque horaire.
En résumé, c’est un bon hôtel.

Ein Wochenende am Klöntalersee

Saubere und moderne Zimmer, mit eine Minibar, bequeme Betten, kostenlose WLAN. Gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück mit Gipfeli, Brötchen und sehr feines Zopf. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal.
Für 1 Nacht zu empfehlen.

Ok für eine Nacht

Die Begrüssung ist freundlich. Bezahlt wird direkt beim Check-In. Das Zimmer war im 1.OG und ziemlich gross. Das Bett ist bequem, ein Schreibtisch ist sehr praktisch. Das Zimmer war sauber, es riecht etwas abgestanden respektive ganz leicht nach kaltem Rauch. Durch das Luftgebläse im Zimmer (selber einstellbar) ist es ok. Fenster kann man nicht öffnen, die Hauptstrasse ist zu laut. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern ok. Frühstück beinhaltet:
-Butter,Konfitüren auf dem Tisch
-Kaffee
-Kleine Auswahl Fleisch und drei Joghurt sowie Fruchtauwahl auf dem „Buffett“ für alle.
-Orangensaft und andere Säfte in Original Flaschen (kein Billigkonzentrat).
-Je 1Gipfel, Brötli und Weggli. Normales Brot muss anscheinend angemeldet werden.
Verbesserungsvorschläge:
-Lichtschalter für das Nachttisch Licht hinter dem Bett findet man nicht auf anhieb.
-Lichtschalter im Treppenhaus könnten leuchten, damit diese besser gesehen werden.
-Für das Frühstück steht die Türe zur verrauchten Bar offen. Lasst diese doch geschlossen oder montiert einen Türschliesser. Eventuell lässt sich ja die Lüftung „beduften“. Der Rauchgeschmack ist beim Frühstück unangenehm.
Parkplatz:
Fast vor dem Hotel gibts eine blaue Zone. Ab 18Uhr angereist und bis 8Uhr weg, parkiert man kostenlos. Die Parkplätze sind öffentlich. Wo man sonst parkt und zu welchen Kosten ist unbekannt.
Fazit: Für eine Nacht ok. Das Hotel hätte aus meiner Sicht mehr Potenzial.
