Clean comfortable, double check if breakfast included as we were told it was on arrival.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Location ideal for lakeside swimming. Check in until 11pm however when we arrived there was little information given to where we could collect food, we asked the lady on front desk who seemed shocked and said nothing at all close by and offered the vending machine. After a google we found take aways 15 minutes drive (would have been helpful to have been offered this information). additionally at check in we were informed our breakfast was included, something we wouldn’t normally take so we’re pleasantly suprised. Yet on check out we were told it was 56 CHF - there was a small unreplenished selection, something to note arrive early for breakfast as it will not be refreshed throughout service. While the stay was lovely this miscommunication was not great. The man on the desk did resolve this slightly for us after a discussion. Rooms are comfortable, but bear in mind the road and train tracks are directly infront so small noise, but sound proofing very good in rooms barely noticed at night.

Yes, but

The view from the hotel is exceptional. The room was of a decent size; we were on the 3rd floor with a terrace. No coffee machine. Do not have the breakfast, which is very disappointing for a 4-star hotel at 18 Swiss francs. A sort of pastry. I asked for bread, a cake that was old. I had to ask for butter, no cut fruit, no yogurt.

Good breakfast

Our stay at the hotel was comfortable.
The parking was next to it. The hotel faces the train tracks, and you can see the graffiti near it.
So, my first impression wasn't what I was expecting. But we got a room on the higher level that blocked the train tracks. We could only see the lake. And the balcony was nice.
We did take breakfast. It was really good! They serve hot choices.
I thought we were going to get the Riviera Card by staying at this hotel. We received the Lavaux Transport Card. I thought it would give us a 50% discount on World Chaplin's World, so we were surprised we didn't get that. The ticket agent gave us 1 or 2 CHF off each ticket,
I did research, so I am not sure why there wasn’t more coverage.
It looks like the Saver Day Pass would save us money if we bought it six months in advance or another hotel.

Indoor parking for the motorbikes is a big bonus.
Lake view with adjustable blinds kept the room cool.
Dinner and breakfast were great and cold water in the fridge on arrival was a big win in the hot weather

Disappointment

Hotel booked for a couple of friends.
Arriving in the afternoon on a very hot Saturday, the receptionist was unfriendly and unresponsive to our requests. It would be better if he found a job in another field.
Room: clean, air-conditioned, consistent with the photos, nothing to complain about
Breakfast: air conditioning not working (?), welcome in Italian (?) and not very friendly. You have to keep asking when the meat or cheese dishes, juices, etc. are empty. Butter was nonexistent until the moment the waiter realized he had forgotten to take it out of the fridge...
All of this is not worthy of a 4-star hotel!!!!
