Good option in the center of Basel
Accommodation in an unbeatable location.
Access is automated, with access codes for the doors to the facilities and the room.
The room has a fairly functional kitchen with a fridge, toaster, stove, espresso machine, and kitchenware.
In the bathroom, they provide towels, as well as toilet paper, hand soap, and shower gel.
The bathroom has heating, which is very much appreciated.
The WiFi and the television work correctly.
The pillows are very small and deflate when you lie down; it would be advisable to provide another pair of pillows.
Occasionally, an unpleasant smell like trash comes in, possibly through the ventilation or air ducts that are at the entrance to the room. In the hallways, when they do the cleaning, they use a fairly strong lemon air freshener, which disappears after a few hours.
In the afternoon, you can hear the sound of a motor that lasts for a few hours.
Fortunately, it disappears before dawn, as it was quite uncomfortable to listen to. I do not know if it is only on the fifth floor because it is the top floor and there is some machine right above the room, or if it affects the rest of the rooms.

Limehome in Basel (repeat guest)
The location is perfect. I have stayed there on three previous occasions.
Unfortunately I found myself locked out of the building/room twice during my 7-day stay because the access codes suddenly stopped working (even the replacement code!) Not having access to your room is about as bad as things can get when traveling.
On the first occasion, the support staff seemed professional and they sorted out *their* problem within an hour so. On the second occasion, they have asked for a video "to better understand the problem"; I declined because this is not appropriate
They have an on-site concierge during some hours, but it really is not sufficient. She did call their support desk on my behalf because I was not going to deal with them.
Will I stay there again? Highly unlikely which is a pity ...

Completely soulless, mold.
The rooms are tiny, completely unadorned, the air conditioning cannot be adjusted, only on or off, mold in the shower stall, everything feels extremely cheap, e.g., electrical conduit on plaster, single bed, next to a narrow corridor. The whole place gives a feeling of imprisonment. Completely overpriced for what it is. I usually never complain; this is my first review. But a warning is necessary...

The location is amazing, right in the centre of Basel and close to everything. My only issue was that the air conditioning didn't work. The first night, I could understand why the room was hot because of the weather, but afterwards the temperatures outside were much cooler and the room was still uncomfortably warm. If a comfortable room temperature is important to you, I would avoid staying here.

The place, rooms were big, clean and in a decent location.
The picture on hotels.com website is NOT the hotel.
The hotel cannot be accessed by Uber. They are not allowed on the street.
My mistake was not realizing it was a non person property. So, we had to drag our luggage around to a place to store for the day.
Says it has air conditioning. Big lie. We had two rooms. The temperature was in the high 80’s. We could not get the units to work in either room. And there was no one to help. It made a very miserable 3 nights.
Be careful of the bathtub. Very slick and very tall. Short people (myself) had trouble getting in and out. However, the shower head works great.
