Very nice staff, good dinner buffet, good breakfast and the kids really loved the pool and hot tub. Absolutely recommend this if you have children

Poor food, noise in the hotel, poor cleaning

Bad experience. When we checked in was told by we were going to get dinner from the buffet. Buffet was open until 1900, but when we were there at 1815, there was no food left. It was empty for food we were told by the service. The next day we arrived when the buffet opened and got Pasta carbonara. We found the pasta, but little else. The bread was hard and dry - probably from the day before. Nothing to recommend.
We arrived on a Wednesday and Saturday we had to ask for both cleaning, towels and toilet paper. On the web it says that the restaurant/bar is open until 2100 on weekdays and 2200 on holidays. On Saturday we were greeted that it closed at 18:30 for the hotel’s guests because there was a wedding. It was something we were not informed of in advance. We were also not informed that there was to be party and noise until 0200 at night. We had a long drive ahead of us the next day and wanted to get a good night's sleep. We didn't get that. We tried to call the expedition, but it was unmanned. We sent emails but didn't get a reply until after we got home and had complained via hotels.com. The complaint was answered with that we could get food at the hotel for 500kr, possibly they could show us extra "goodwill" with a gift card at the hotel - if we came back once. It is of course unactualized. It is 10.5 hours drive there - it will then be a very expensive gift card that we ourselves have to finance.. The reason they did not refund anything was because they themselves said it was their policy. They wanted the customer to come back so they could give them a better experience. We have traveled a lot, but this hotel we will not return to. Not recommended.

Overall not a positive experience.
Check in was complicated and took forever.
Bed was not made, toilet was dirty.
There was a big big om the floor.
Service was great (when the stage was at work)
Spa was closed, the spa was det mail reason for choosing this hotel.
Breakfast was good and the breaksfast area was excellent!

Terrible self check in. We booked 2 rooms and get only one booking nr. that leads to one our with frustration in the middle of the night. Helpful staff on the phone give us the other booking nr. still it was a meaningless prosess to type all information we already gave when we booked the room. Self check in have a potential to improvements..

So-so

Room not ready at check-in, so had to wait. Breakfast is served later on weekends but no longer = shorter time for breakfast. Wedding party booked on Saturday so the whole restaurant was closed and they dunk music until 2am. Staff nice and good for those with dog and super that gym membership was included.
