Sanjeev was so helpful when we were planning our time at Ella and sorted tuk tuk’s etc, the stay was lovely and when we forgot our swimming costumes on the balcony (after using the lovely pool) they posted them to our next location! A really fab stay

Complaint Regarding Staff Conduct During Our Stay

Dear Manager,
I hope you are doing well.
I am writing to bring to your attention an unpleasant experience we had during our recent visit to your hotel. We have visited your property approximately six times in the past and have always enjoyed our stay, which is why this incident was particularly disappointing.
On this occasion, we were informed that noise would not be an issue until 10:00 PM. However, during the evening, a staff member—described as a gentleman with long hair wearing a blue attire—approached us and spoke in a very disrespectful and harsh manner regarding the noise level.
While we fully understand and respect hotel policies, we believe there is a professional and courteous way to communicate with guests. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled felt uncalled for and disrespectful, as we were treated in a manner that did not reflect the standards we have come to expect from your establishment.
We kindly request that staff be trained to communicate with guests more politely and with patience. A respectful approach can make a significant difference in maintaining a positive guest experience.
We hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure such incidents are avoided in the future.

Even a basic level of customer service was missing. When we arrived, no one even spoke to us properly. There was a young male staff member there, but he wasn’t even aware that there was a booking. I feel that Gimhani had not informed the staff properly.
Their service is extremely poor. If there is any management, I request them to look into this matter seriously.
I believe the hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff member didn’t even suggest showing us around the hotel. I am not blaming the boy because he clearly had no information at all.
When we called and spoke to the lady named Gimhani, she said that she is new. Is that really the kind of answer a guest should receive?
I do not recommend this hotel.

Good hotel for the price with weak breakfast

The hotel is located on the mountain just above Kandy, but has a very nice view. The rooms are fine, but very reasonably priced. Only the breakfast is not convincing, especially the "english breakfast" should be avoided...

Terrible

We were woken up at 7am to loud blaring music from staff. There were lots of ants in the room. Bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived. Curtains and walls were very dirty. Staff were unfriendly and not present. Someone tried to enter our room in the morning (luckily we had locked it from the inside) and staff were unbothered. Ceiling fan was hanging half way out the ceiling and felt dangerous to use. Pool was unusable as murky and unclean. Would not recommend staying here. Staff (and whoever else was there) treating the property like their house.
