Great Location, Helpful Host and Comfy Room

We really enjoyed our stay here especially the warm welcome and local information. We would recommend staying here.
- Helpful host and great value for money
- Great location in Kandy - short walk down the hill and you're at the lake! Take a gentle stroll around the lake and you're right in the hub of things; Fabulous Pizza place across the street if you want a change from Sri Lankan curry
- Bedrooms was spacious, clean and had everything you needed.
- Shower was hot and had good pressure. If it is rainy day you may need to ask for electrical hot water to be turned on as usually run on Solar Power
- We bought our tickets to the local cultural show through the guesthouse and organised a great tuk tuk tour to the Botanical Gardens and a few other places.
- The view from the top of the hotel was fantastic; we grabbed a few beers at night and sat up there. Very relaxing.
- Breakfast menu had variety. Best to order the night before.
- Watch out for the monkeys - they are everywhere around here especially in the morning - but was advised to lock up and had no problem.

Simple homely budget accommodation

It was a joy to stay at the Expeditor. Simple and uncomplicated accommodation. There's a small terrace on each floor for reading or relaxing at night.
The host, Kanthie, is a lovely, calm lady who gave us lots of information about Kandy.
Her assistant, Thushara, has a tuk-tuk. One day he took us to the Botanical Gardens. Another day he drove us round the 3 temples and doubled up as a unobtrusive guide. Wonderful, and at a fair price.
Breakfasts are also simple but very enjoyable.
PS the travel agency is no longer on the ground floor

Stunning surroundings and comfy room!

We arrived very early but still welcomed with a lovely pot of tea which was definitely needed after walking in the rain from the station. We were able to leave our luggage before check in there while we went for a tour of the city. A stunning surrounding and very close to the lake. The room was very comfortable and clean, we both slept very well and had we not had to be up for an early train, we probably would have slept for a very long time!
We also opted for a breakfast which was tasty and well made. We would definitely recommend this place and would 10/10 stay there again.

Lovely Staff & Great Location!

Great location in Kandy - short walk down the hill and you're at the lake! Take a gentle stroll around the lake and you're right in the hub of things.
We had an end room which was large, clean and airy and the balcony provided great views over Kandy towards the lake.
The manager and staff were wonderful, friendly and so helpful in arranging tickets for the Kandyan dancing. The breakfasts that were available to order were tasty and plentiful. There are a number of restaurants really close by if you don't feel venturing into town too.
If I had to nitpick, although the bedroom was spotless the shower needed a little bit of a deeper clean between the tiles, but all in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend The Expeditor if in Kandy

An excellent place to stay in Kandy

My daughter and i stayed for two nights in this hotel. Very good location, near the lake. Spacious and clean rooms with balcony. Friendly staff, helpful with arranging transportation and tickets to local show. We can highly recommend this hotel
