Beautiful view,: a very good address!

We spent two nights in this hotel
The view from the room was exceptional
The room was very clean
The whole team was adorable led by a very endearing owner
Breakfast was also very good
Ideal location five minutes walk from the centre

Disappointing to say the least

I booked this hotel based on how it presented itself on the booking engine for myself, my husband and 2 other family members. The hotel describes itself as having a bar, room service, a restaurant. It has none of those. At £102 per night bed and breakfast this is massively overpriced and misrepresented.
The room was ok, bathroom was nice and recently renovated but we found a dirty sock under our bed from a previous occupant . The tea and coffee sachets were out of date.
The hotel is “manned” by a few lovely Sri Lankan ladies who hauled our luggage themselves much to our shock. (We did not allow them to haul it back to our car at the end of our stay).
We asked them where the bar was the first evening …. To be met by complete confusion as clearly there is no bar. We left our room keys at reception with one of the ladies when we left for the day, returning later to find no one on the desk. No one in sight at all and our room keys literally left out on the front desk. Erm…. Not entirely safe then.. on the positive side the ladies were doing their best but were clearly just local ladies. BBreakfast they cooked was wonderful. Basically this hotel is not a professional outfit and does not deliver as advertised.

There was a mouse in our room.
The owner of the hotel was rude
Ladies who run the hotel are lovely
Wrote a review on booking.com for the owner to reply and say we were smoking and drinking we have not had 1 sip of alcohol while in sri lanka
The rooms are dated. Loud traffic on a night but the ladies who run it make the hotel acceptable

Amazing stay in Ella!

I could not recommend this hotel enough. It was definitely our favourite place we stayed during our trip to Sri Lanka. The staff were so kind and thoughtful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. They filled us every day with plentiful cups of tea and delicious pancakes whilst we admired the view from their terrace. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Ella town and a great location for exploring. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we could need.

Excellent hotel and service

I had a wonderful experience at Ravana Heights. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. When I fell ill, they promptly assisted me in reaching their in-house doctor, delivered meals to my room, and consistently provided support to ensure my well-being. The food was delicious, and the rooms were well-appointed. Overall, a fantastic stay with excellent service.
