Top room, quiet, great hosts,
A very nice address, at a very decent Award.
The place is amazing, quiet, in the vegetation.
The family is adorable and folds in 4 for us, the welcome with a good tea, the breakfast is hearty and very good.
The room very spacious, clean and very well appointed, terrace with table, top.

Just wonderful!
The location was perfect not far to walk to get anywhere & close to the train station. So peaceful & the owners couldn’t do enough for us & the breakfast was amazing! An amazing place to stay for 2 nights and we hope to visit again one day.

Nice Place
It's a nice place where to stay in Ella, located in a really quiet street. 10 min walk from the main road with all the restaurants and pubs.
It doesn't have the wifi but you can always buy a local cheap sim with a lot of giga.
The breakfast was just delicious and very rich. We never felt hungry during the day apart of dinner.

Secluded paradise
We were torn on where to stay in Ella and ended up paying a bit more than some other options and stayed at Mountain Nest, we didn’t regret this at all!
At first it was tricky to find as its location is wrong on several GPS apps, to get there you exit Ella station to the left, when you reach the road turn left and ahead should be the gates to the police station, turn right up the hill and keep walking, eventually on your left will be a home with a small sign on the road “Mountain Nest”.
We were greeted by the owners who live in that house and taken up some concrete stairs to our semi-detached bungalow, shortly after they returned with some tea and biscuits (lovely touch). The balcony overlooked a nice area of trees and as we were over the hill from the busy parts of Ella it was tranquil (with the exception of some building work going on close by but this was always at sociable hours).
The room was large and clean, the shower had hot water (although lacked pressure) and there was Wi-fi.
We were asked what time we would like breakfast and in the morning it was laid outside promptly. What a spread! It had fresh fruit, omelette, toast, rotti, butter spread, jam, sweet coconut pancakes and tea. It was a great way to start the day, we spotted various wildlife in the trees surrounding which added to an already amazing experience.
The place is located very conveniently a 5 minute walk from both Ella station and the main strip so you have access to all you need. When we checked out the owner gave us a lift to the station as we had very heavy backpacks on and sunburnt shoulders from a couple of days trekking!
Highly recommended, just hope the area doesn’t get overdeveloped as it could destroy some of the scenery and peacefulness.

Quiet location , in a great location
Easy to find from the train station. (Lots of steps to get to the room) so not suitable for anyone with walking problems. Once at the room the views are lovely. So much wildlife to watch from the sitting area. Comfortable bed with mosquito net. Clean bathroom with shower with hot water , but not very strong pressure. Breakfast was lovely. A mixture of omelette , roti , pancakes and fruit and a large pot of tea. Host gave us a lift into the town when it was raining , buts it's a easy 10 min walk. If like us if it's still raining on the return from town a tuk tuk will only cost 200. A nice walk up little Adams peak but choice your time due to the weather . A easy walk to 9 bridges can be done from the guest house along the railway tracks. It's fun. The host is friendly and welcoming. Great value for money and away from the main drag but still close enought. Suggest a cold beer at chill bar, on the upper level. Staff here too very good.
