Stunning character farmhouse, immaculate!

I arrived by foot 2 hours early and the lady has been so helpful and friendly. The room is beautiful and the garden and house lovely with stone walls and traditional features combined with creature comforts like TV, good linen, toiletries etc. A real find on the camino!

Quaint but classy farmhouse

We stayed at Casal de Cereixo while on the Camino dos Faros. The accommodations were top notch, and had a lot of character. The room was a bit small but very adequate and a fairly large bathroom. Very well kept up.
Julio, the host and chef is quite the character. The dinner meal (fish, I forget what kind) was excellent, as was breakfast.
If you go, you must request that Julio explain the process of distilling aguardiente. So very entertaining. Julio does not speak a lot of English, but that did not stop us from communicating. We had an excellent time in our short stay.

Quaint in the Country

We hiked a full day and were quite happy to find this place. We had reservations in advance, but it is out a bit in the countryside. It is gorgeous with very hospitable hosts. They really went out of there way to make us comfortable, despite us not speaking spanish but a few words. Dinner was amazing; you could tell they put a lot of time into their cooking with the flavors. the host has homemade liqueurs he may offer you - be careful as these pack a tasty punch! Absolutely wonderful place - would have gave it 5 instead of 4 but it really is remote w/nothing to do around it.

Delightful guest house and service

The Casal is a beautifully restored house and barn with delightful pine ceiling and original exposed walls. Our room was comfortably furnished and had a modern efficient toilet and shower room. Dinner was a delight as Julio served us salad, beef and fried potatoes, liberally served with local red wine and his own artisan Hervas. I would have liked more of this but wanted a clear head for the next day. Julio is a wonderful host and his restored guest house is well worth a visit.

A Surprise in the Countryside

This is a very nice house converted into a small hotel. The host, Julio, couldn't be nicer. Our room was fairly small but well furnished and comfortable. No complaints! Dinner was pretty basic (choices were meat or fish) but pretty good, especially after a full day of hiking. A very pleasant stop on our hiking trip.
