Beautiful place, better without breakfast or restaurant

Beautiful surroundings, like all Asturias.. Right rooms. Very sparse and poor breakfast, and no fruit.
Restaurant, no price list. A French tortilla, two fried eggs with a few potatoes and a small salad to share (white lettuce, a tomato and a little onion) 22 euros apart drinks, etc).

Great value for money bang in the middle of Picos de Europa

I missed this place the first time I visited the area, but it is a lovely small mountain town right before Sotres. The guest house is excellent value for money and it includes breakfast. We rented a triple room with a small bathroom - water pressure in this area is just fantastic - and if you are looking for a place to rest in between hikes it is highly recommended. Mattress was too soft for what I'm usually used to, however I slept like a baby. 10 minutes drive, if that, from the beginning of the routes to either Urriellu or towards Fuente Dé, and 45 minutes towards Cangas de Onís. Owners are lovely - make sure to by some award winning blue cheese from them!

La dueña es un encanto

Eran sobre las cuatro de la tarde y preguntamos si podíamos comer algo. La dueña nos dijo amablemente que la cocina ya estaba cerrada pero nos podía ofrecer bocadillos. Pedimos uno de jamón serrano con queso y otro de lomo embuchado con queso, y refrescos. Estubo correcto. Nos sentamos en la terraza ya que hacía bueno, pero el interior no nos dió mucha confianza, olía a cerrado y no muy limpio. Estubimos hablando todo el rato con la dueña y tubimos una charla muy agradable. Compramos queso cabrales de su queseria propia. Estubo premiado años atrás. Realmente estaba muy bueno, un poco fuerte de gusto y caro.

Un descubrimiento cuando andábamos perdidos por la zona

De ruta por la zona, se nos hizo tarde para comer y paramos aquí por casualidad, y ¡qué bien! Era tarde y nos ofrecieron tres cosas para comer, elegimos la fabada. Excelente, buenísima y mucha cantidad que nos esforzamos en acabar ante la amable y divertida insistencia de la cocinera. Las personas que nos atendieron fueron encantadoras. Por supuesto imaginamos que el postre sería casero, y así fue, una tarta de queso que se deshacía en la boca. Comimos en el porche que es muy agradable y con unas bonitas vistas.
