Perfect Posada

Located in stunning countryside, this beautiful hotel is one if the best places we have ever stayed in. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotlessly clean, and there were several fabulous common spaces both in and outslde the property. The gardens were very well presented and supplied much of the produce used in the restaurant. We opted for dinner in the hotel and the first night, and it was so good we chose to eat there every day of the stay. It's only 20 minutes to the amazing beach at Laredo and very handy for Santander and Bilbao. The staff are all wonderful, especially Quemia, and we are very grateful for them hosting us so we'll.

Great bucolic and warm address

Beautiful establishment in the Cantabrian countryside. A most friendly welcome from the owners (mother and daughter). Neat decoration, impeccable cleanliness, beautiful, large and comfortable room with direct exit to a terrace and garden.
Good generous dinner cooked with love.
Exteriors extremely well maintained and, in addition to the vegetable garden , fruit trees and beautiful lemon trees and hydrangeas, many varied potted plants. Nice pool.

Relaxing family perfection

We loved or night here. A small family run B&B with the option of an evening meal. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s not a big commercial place so don’t expect that. It’s much better.
The view is incredible. The pool is lovely. We opted for a meal. Yes, we didn’t choose anything but that was half the fun. I’m sure she would have been as accommodating as possible. We were a little limited by our lack of Spanish but thank goodness for google! She was very kind to the children and made them an appropriate portion size. The food was DELICIOUS and felt a real blessing to be offered. With such lovely food and fantastic wine we were happy to pay £100 for the four of us.
Breakfast was simple but pleasant. I enjoyed our traditional ham/tomato toasts. The coffee was good. The fruit plentiful. The view to die for.
We would loved to have stayed longer. My only wish would have been for AC in the bedroom. Otherwise - perfecto. Muchisimas gracias.

Review

The house is very nice and the room decor and size was great but not very welcoming we arrived in the evening and at dinner we weren't told what we were eating so it was just put infront of us (bad for vegetarians and allergies) as there was no choice in what to eat. We had a family room for 4 the sofa bed was very uncomfortable for 2 people so we took the mattress and slept on the floor however the other two single beds were comfy. Breakfast was very quiet and not much atmosphere and the living areas lights were off when we came down quite unwelcoming

A good stopover

The Posada el Campo is a small family run hotel along a narrow lane overlooking the village of Secadura. We were the only two guests staying here for the night so it was very quiet. When we went to the dining room for dinner the lady,who was the only person we saw, had prepared the meal so there was no choice. Fortunately we liked and enjoyed very much the excellent cooking.
