Attention: Bedbug infestation and lack of hygiene!

Attention: Bedbug infestation and lack of hygiene!
Unfortunately, it was a very stressful experience on our Camino.
The room did not appear to be hygienically clean upon entering: dirty floor, stains on the bedspread, holes in the bed cover, toilet in poor condition. After 2 hours of sleep, we woke up due to strong crawling sensations from multiple bites and immediately discovered bedbugs in the room. One bug was visibly crawling on the bed, and two others emerged from the headboard. Additionally, another participant in our group in a different room of the guesthouse on another floor also had several bites and bugs in her bed. There was no chance of sleep the entire night, and we had to leave the accommodation in the middle of the night. I myself have several bite marks that have become severely inflamed, are very painful, itch, and are only healing very slowly.
However, what was particularly disappointing was the guesthouse's handling of the situation. Instead of showing understanding or seriously considering the possibility of a problem to protect other pilgrims, we were told that we had brought the bedbugs ourselves. The guesthouse completely denies any responsibility and claims that there are no bedbugs there. We find this inappropriate given the situation.
We had no problems in any other accommodation before, and the bugs were visibly present right in the bed area. It was also not a single bug. Several bedbugs were visibly crawling on the bed or disappearing directly into small crevices of the headboard.
Anyone who wants to complete the Camino healthy and without such experiences in Santiago should urgently avoid this accommodation from our perspective. We would have wished that the incident was taken seriously and thoroughly investigated, instead of immediately blaming the guests.
Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend this accommodation.

Practical

The boarding house is in a building. The double room, was somewhat small, but was equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay.
It also has a washing machine and dryer, something very useful for those who do the Camino.
The service was correct, although a little closer or smile would be appreciated.
All in all, a practical and comfortable stop during the route.

Lousy pension

A cramped, uncomfortable accommodation cannot be handled inside the room or bags. It has a space between the bed and the wall -to walk 45 CM. We were given a room next to the baggage storage, laundry and reception and the Santiago Ways Enterprise, offered us a '.. high standard accommodation', which irony

A night to forget

I don't recommend this pension to anyone. It was dirty, dirty bedspread the TV had no signal, in the room I was given had a cupboard with the giant thermos and n router device that hung from a cable.
There were 2 pillows on the closet floor that looked clean but when I smelled them... how awful, the mattress impossible to rest, you could hear conversations and snoring from the neighboring rooms. I tried to find other accommodation but it was all full.
Unfortunately I did not sleep all night, the worst night of my 9 days on my way to Santiago. I'll definitely let the agency know I'm preparing my trip.

Pension in Melide

For the non-demanding pilgrim, it is fine. But far from the maximum score. The attention has been correct. The room, a 5/10, a 6 for being generous. The antenna cables are peeled and poorly placed. The bathroom light flickered a lot. The maintenance of the rooms was a little left out.

Very good location
