Great flat in a great location in a great city

The apartment was clean tidy and cool. The kitchen had everything you needed: hob, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and microwave, and as we are a vegan couple the kitchen is very important to us. The rooms were a nice size and the shower was great. The flat also has a washing machine.
The temperatures outside were around 36 degrees but inside it was cool thanks to the air conditioning system. The wifi was very good and after an initial problem (mine) worked fine throughout the holiday. The young lady who met us on the day of arrival was very, very friendly and gave us good information on the flat and other things. We were also lucky to have one of the flats with a terrace and we ate there every night taking in the heat and the local flavour. Although there is no reception desk in the property, there is a service only a call away. If you have any problems you just phone and within half an hour or so they are there. They say that sheets and towels will be changed every four days but in our case this was done after only two.
The area of San Blas itself is wonderful. I know a lot of people might find it a little out of the way of the centre of Madrid but we are talking about a five- ten minute journey on the Metro (which you practically fall into it is so close to the flat) or a walk of about a 45 minutes - if that. The walk along Calle Alcala is great, you see so much life on the way to town centre: cafe solo and tostada on the way in and a cerveza or vino tinto on the return. However, if you go have a look at San Blas area itself. Only a short distance from the flat are bakeries, Indian, Chinese and Moroccan restaurants as well as fast food places. The parque La Quinta de los Molinos is a lovely place to go at any time of the day for a walk and a sit.
This was a great flat in a great location in a great city - I will definitely be rebooking if I can.

The WORST place I have ever stayed!!

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITHOUT READING THIS REVIEW! Nothing positive to say about this apartment. They emailed days in advance asking for a time to check in and I specified I would arrive between 16:30 and 17:00 on the first day. I arrived exactly at 16:30 to find no one waiting for me (they do not have a reception). I tried calling both mobile numbers that were provided to me: one was constantly engaged, the other did not exist - I thought it was a scam! I waited until AFTER 17:00 and eventually a woman came to check me in. After explaining the situation and informing her that none of the mobile numbers were working, she did not apologise once, but rudely said "what?" and walked off to the apartment. After signing a ridiculous contract where I was FORCED to give them my credit card details, I was still not given an apology or provided with a working telephone number, just a different email address to try. Inside the apartment, it was dirty, the shower doors were coming off the railing and the shower head was constantly falling off it's hinge. I will NEVER stay here again and would much rather pay 3 times the price for responsible staff and a nicer apartment/hotel.

not suitable for people with asthma

Medium accommodation with ok location. There's a subway station in walkin distance.
The rooms are actualy very Nice but there's unfortunatetly some kind of mold problem. My companion was not able to sleep in the bedroom because of that. That's the reason why I don't recomend this place for people with asthma.

A lovely place in Madrid

We was there in July 2016.
The flat is located in a lovely position in the first periphery of Madrid and near the Metro station "Ciudad Lineal" on the green line (15 minutes from Puerta del Sol in the centre of Madrid).
The Airport is really near to the flat (25 minutes by metro or 15 minutes with taxi for a cost of 20 euros)
All aroud you can find services, super market, and fantastic places where take breakfast (the panaderia/cafeteria on the corner of the street is great), tapas and lunch or dinner (take a look at Taberna Koldovinia).
The flat was really good, clean, confortable and with wi-fi free and very efficient.
The terrace was great and really livable, we had here breakfast all the morning with the sunshinig.
We was there in a family of 4 person (2 kids).
This side of Madrid is really calm and safe (we use to sleep with open windows in the night) 'cause of a problem to the air conditioning, without problem.
The service and the back office of the owner of the flat was really good, except for a problem to the air conditioning machine unsolved during our stay (6 days), but this flat was one of the best we have reserved on booking all over europe.
The check-in was good and on time, the check-out very friendly and easy.
Sure a place where be back one time
