Great deal for our girls holiday

Me and the girls visited the hotel back in June and had a lovely time. Mallorca is such a beautiful island and the hotel was a great base to explore it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the reception. Bruno was especially helpful with booking taxis into town and giving us information on local activities. It was a great price and deal for the holiday we got.

Good holiday overall but definitely not a 4* resort

We recently booked a last-minute getaway to Globales Maioris. Overall, we had a good holiday and the kids had a great time, but there are a few key things future guests should know before booking.
First Impressions & Check-In:
Bruno at reception was brilliant—incredibly helpful and friendly right from the start. There is also a handy little desk area nearby packed with leaflets to book external excursions.
Crucial Cash Warning & System Quirks
While the hotel states it is "card only," they sneakily add on numerous extras that are cash only, so bring plenty of euros!
Safe Deposit: €40 cash deposit (found in the room).
Towel Scheme: €10 cash deposit per towel, plus €1 cash every time you want a fresh one.
Activity Hire: €10 cash deposit for tennis rackets and other equipment.
Cup System: You receive a token to exchange for a reusable drink cup. At the end of the day, you hand your cups back in to get your tokens returned for fresh cups the next morning.
The Rooms:
The rooms are very clean with plenty of storage space, a hair dryer, and a lovely balcony with a table, chairs, and a clothes airer. The maids do a fantastic job. The sofa bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was fine for the kids, and having English TV channels (CBBC, Cbeebies) was a lifesaver. The air conditioning manages okay, though there was often a strong drain smell coming from the bathroom.
Pools & The Splash Park:
We didn't use the main pools, but all pools (and the splash park) open at 10:00 AM. Sunbeds are easy to come by, so there's no need to reserve early.
The splash park itself was fantastic for the boys. The slides are great, the main pool is 1m deep (allowing my 6-year-old to stand comfortably), and there is a shallower area for younger kids. There is a convenient soft drink dispenser nearby (note: they serve Pepsi and Pepsi Max, not Coke) and very clean toilets. However, the splash park needs attention:
Upkeep: The floor and sunbeds were quite dirty, the sealant on the flooring needs fixing, the pool grid needs a good scrub, and there are loose tiles.
Safety Hazard: The ground is extremely slippery—swim shoes are an absolute must. Furthermore, there is no outdoor walkway connecting the splash park to the main snack bar area; forcing wet kids to walk indoors creates a very dangerous, slippery floor.
Lifeguards: One lifeguard at the splash park was exceptionally vigilant about the rules. While some guests found him dramatic, he was just keeping our kids safe! Unfortunately, other lifeguards often sat by the drink machines on their phones, giving them a poor view of the water.
Dining & Restaurant Challenges:
This was our biggest disappointment with the resort:
Flies: The resort has a massive fly problem. You couldn't go 10 minutes without being swarmed. They were all over the buffet food, desserts, tables, and drink machines.
Insects: If you get bitten easily, come prepared. I have Skeeter syndrome and ended up with 5 very uncomfortable bites.
Food & Labeling: Much of the buffet food is completely unlabelled—a huge risk for anyone with allergies or intolerances, which also led to excessive food waste. We also noticed some meats were undercooked, so we avoided them altogether. The "fresh" orange juice was heavily watered down and tasted like cheap cordial.
Operations: The restaurant doesn't open until 7:00 PM (tricky for young kids) and fills up instantly. Staff levels are too low, meaning tables are slow to be cleared. Additionally, always check your glasses before pouring a drink—many were dirty, so I had to wipe and rinse mine first.
Entertainment & Kid Activities:
The entertainment team works hard, and a big shout-out goes to Maya—she was absolutely brilliant with my son and a credit to the hotel!
Evening Shows: Unorganized and chaotic. Schedule changes happen last-minute (a promised Michael Jackson/Bruno Mars tribute was swapped out), and there are long waits between activities. During dancing shows, staff expect you to move your tables, yet there is zero physical space to do so.
Highlight: Do not miss the Asante acrobatic group—they were next-level amazing! The magic carpet activity was also fun, though rushed (you only get one or two turns).
The Venue: The entertainment room suffers from weak air conditioning (bring a handheld fan!), and many of the chairs are broken. From 6:00 PM onwards, the bar in this room is the only one open in the resort, resulting in massive queues.
General Amenities & Location:
The resort is heavily oriented toward French tourists. The playground on-site is quite run-down with broken equipment, though you can hire bikes and scooters for a fee. The lift is tiny and downright lethal—the doors close relentlessly fast regardless of whether you've finished unloading your pram or bags!
Location-wise, there are a few shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. A missed opportunity occurred during the solar eclipse: while the hotel next door set up grass seating and created a fantastic atmosphere, our hotel did nothing at all.
Final Verdict:
Because this was a last-minute booking, it served its purpose and gave our family a fun break away. However, the hotel currently feels more like a 3-star resort than a 4-star. Due to the issues with cleanliness in the dining areas, lack of organization, and general maintenance needs, we likely wouldn't return unless significant improvements are made.

Dear Courtney,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following your stay. We are pleased to hear that your family enjoyed the holiday overall, particularly the splash park, our housekeeping team and the entertainment team, and we greatly appreciate your kind words about Bruno and Maya.
We are, however, sorry that several aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. We have taken note of your comments regarding the splash park, maintenance, restaurant service, entertainment organisation and general facilities, and will share them with the relevant departments.
Regarding the All Inclusive service and additional charges, some services and products are subject to separate conditions, which are communicated to guests. We would also like to kindly inform that they cash free areas of the hotel are only restaurant and bar facilities.
We appreciate your balanced feedback and the constructive nature of your comments, which help us identify areas where we can continue improving.
Kind regards,
Couple

Vacation ruined by their incompetence.

Upon arriving around 2:00 PM, they told us to wait because the rooms were not ready yet. Around 5:00 PM, we returned to the reception and they apologized to us, but we didn't have a room because they had sold more rooms than existed. They diverted us to another hotel 10 km away without transport and said that the next day they would have 2 rooms ready, without first charging us for the rooms and without having the slightest gesture for their poor management. We did so; we headed to the Caramelo hotel with super professional treatment. Around 2:00 PM, we returned again to Maioris; they gave us the rooms. To my surprise, one of the rooms was occupied. We returned to reception and explained it to them; they apologized and gave us another room, all this without losing our composure. The next day, we asked reception if we could check out at 3:00 PM; they told us yes, to be calm. Ha, the final straw was when they came to look for us to please leave the room because the cleaners had to do the room before finishing their shift.
A terrible experience. Upon leaving, I expressed my discomfort for everything that happened and that if they wanted, I would make a complaint, to which they said they had already had a gesture by letting us check out later.
We are not only going to make this complaint, but we will also make it formally before the government and will provide this writing to the press.

A very fun Day Pass.

We went to spend a Day Pass as a family and I must say that we left very happy. The staff was super pleasant and friendly. Especially the lifeguard at the children's pool. A super helpful and attentive guy who performed his job with politeness and a lot of empathy for the children. The food was good and the facilities were very well-maintained. Without a doubt, we will repeat the experience.
