Excellent, I'll be back next year beautiful and quiet place
Beautiful place of peace and quiet apartment equipped and lots of space I loved this place I will return next summer its location allows to know many tourist places I give a 9 the only thing but nothing serious the airport very close is heard frequently.

Dangerous place to stay.
This is the second time we have stayed here. The first occasion was fine. However, things could not be more different now. Apart from various items of equipment not working on the first day/night such as no hot water, cooker not working, disgusting sewage smell from the drains etc, we had the misfortune to be sharing the complex with a Dutch group of families who let their kids run wild. This included ringing our doorbell early in the morning, ringing it on numerous occasions throughout the evening up until 10pm when my wife was alone in the apartment, shouting racist insults at my wife, leaving rubbish outside the front door etc etc. The response from Hotel Areca which operates the establishment was, “we’ll call the group organiser, and let them deal with it”. They refused to call the police despite my wife feeling threatened and intimidated. Some of the parents of these kids were drunk and threatened us and refused to find out who was responsible. There is no chance of us or anyone connected to our organisation staying in this set of apartments again. The hotel takes no responsibility for what happens here and you will have to arrange your own security arrangements.

An early morning nightmare
For work reasons we choose the Santa Barbara Estate as a refuge because we will have to travel to Elx weekly, almost for a year.
We checked in at the Hotel and everything was fine until that time. It turns out that already in reception we are warned not to do almost to GPS because "it will mess us up" and the connection between the farms in quite small or non-existent in some areas. We left for the farm around 11:30 p.m. and that's where our nightmare began. Following the reception instructions we got lost, and we continued to circle for more than 2 hours, while we attended the explanations by the receptionist's cell phone. Not for those: roundabouts, farms, roads without asphalt, ... At 01:30 we are asked to return to the hotel. We honestly believed that someone would join us or give us a room in the hotel, we were willing to pay the difference in the face of mental and physical exhaustion we already had. Instead, they print us a black and white map and point us to the location to start the "gymcana" again. It was the last thing we expected by now: The map. At that moment we decided we didn't even want to stay there, because we weren't offered it either. We ordered Claims Book and they tell us it wasn't publicly available until the next morning. We would have to leave before 8, so we could not make our complaint through official channels. We decided to leave the hotel and call a relative, in Murcia, at almost 2 a.m. to welcome us. Helplessness, abandonment and of course terrible experience that we wish no one.
It was a real nightmare that had never happened to us and that, I am sure, will not happen again, because it was such a Kafkaesque experience that I did not believe it but we would not have lived it in our own flesh.

Lamentamos profundamente la experiencia tan frustrante que vivieron durante su intento de llegada a Finca Santa Bárbara. Entendemos perfectamente lo angustiante que puede ser enfrentarse a una situación así, especialmente tras un viaje largo y en plena madrugada.
Nos gustaría aclarar que, al tratarse de un alojamiento rural, la ubicación puede ser algo compleja para quienes no conocen la zona, especialmente de noche y con posibles imprecisiones del GPS. Sin embargo, esta situación es muy poco común; afortunadamente, la gran mayoría de nuestros huéspedes consigue llegar sin mayores complicaciones, incluso a altas horas. Siempre que detectamos que alguien puede necesitar ayuda extra, nuestro personal hace todo lo posible por guiar paso a paso por teléfono, como se hizo en su caso.
Lamentamos sinceramente no haber cumplido con sus expectativas al ofrecerles un mapa impreso en lugar de una solución más resolutiva en ese momento de cansancio. Tomamos nota de ello para reforzar nuestros protocolos de atención nocturna, especialmente ante situaciones excepcionales como la suya.
Con respecto al libro de reclamaciones, es cierto que este debe estar disponible en todo momento, y lamentamos si hubo una falta de comunicación o acceso debido a la hora. Revisaremos este procedimiento internamente para evitar que vuelva a ocurrir.
Sentimos mucho que esta experiencia haya sido tan negativa y que decidieran marcharse sin poder disfrutar del alojamiento que con tanta ilusión habían reservado.

A little Spanish paradise
A structure with flakes.... everything perfect. the new apartment, comfortable, clean, complete with everything necessari.La pool then is really beautiful. Check in at the nearby hotel convenient and quick ...a beautiful property 15 minutes drive from Alicante

Ci fa molto piacere che il check-in sia stato semplice e veloce, e che la posizione della struttura, a pochi minuti da Alicante, sia stata di suo gradimento.

Plane Spotters Paradise
This property has no reviews on trip advisor, but many on booking.com. Many of those are varied. So here goes ..
This complex belongs/ or is managed by the Areca hotel in Torrellano. You can book direct by googling Finca Santa Barbara for best prices. There are a number of apartments from 1-3 beds. Mine was a well appointed 2 bedroom but lacking in some essential home from home basics (ok if you are living in Spain & can bring your own bits n pieces). So, no corkscrew, colander, oven gloves or air con, buy a cheap fan in high season. But quality bedding, towels and spacious storage. Good bathroom. Plenty of hot water and parking.
It is set in a lovely Spanish garden environment, typical vegetation and flowering shrubs. Pool is superb and you can watch flights arriving on a regular basis! Didn't bother me I lived on LHR flight path in the past. It is in the middle of nowhere, no bar or restaurant in walking distance so don't expect not to drive, however if you want something a bit different, give it a try and stock up the fridge, sit back and relax in between the planes arriving! Haven't experienced planes take off yet.. Five or so mins from Alicante airport.
Wifi is very good - an essential for me! Nice patio area outside the apartment mine was shaded as are most. I bought loo roll, wash up liquid and such, but these were supplied, tip, visit first and see what you need to buy.
