Beautiful rural getaway

We had the great luck of staying at Cantarranas. Our only bad luck was we only got to be there for one night. Charlotte and her husband have done an exquisite job of remodeling this gorgeous old place in a charming village. All the amenities but with old world, historical charm in a tourist-free zone. Appointed tastefully and beautifully including original work by Charlotte (she's a fantastic artist). Delicious breakfast outside in the garden. Magic!

Stylish house in historical village

When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess who explained the idiosyncrasies of the front door and showed us a choice of rooms. We took one at the top of the stairs, first on the right. This overlooked the little vegetable plot (I like looking at other people's veg plots) and the hills beyond. Nice room with storage shelves, functional bathroom, comfortable bed. The house is old and rather warren-like, but there are various rooms downstairs where guests can sit, or use the little terrace, weather permitting. The hostess had to dash off so that was the last we saw of her.
Next morning, a lady came and served breakfast ( fresh bread toast, cheese, salami, tomato, melon, jams, cake, tea/coffee etc ). All served at table, very nice. The same lady (Spanish only) then dealt with our payment.
All very proper, clean, nice breakfast, but somehow felt a bit impersonal. Difficult to park close by - this wasn't a problem for us, but trundling luggage along cobbled streets may not be for everyone.

Claustrofóbico, habitación mínimamente reducida, la limpieza brillaba por su ausencia. Al llegar y ver eso tuvimos que buscar otra cosa y lo único bueno que puedo decir es que nos devolvieron lo pagado

Paz y tranquilidad

Lugar muy agradable. Pocas habitaciones. Trato más que correcto. Las habitaciones, perfectas. El desayuno completo.
Queremos agradecer a Dina el trato que nos dispensó con su amabilidad y paciencia.
Se trata de un lugar con encanto, y con lo alrededores llenos de historia. Pudimos aprovechar la Semana Santa para visitar los alrededores de Cuacos de Yuste.
Cien por cien recomendable.

Una maravilla, atención, estancia y entorno

Charlotte es quien nos atendió desde antes incluso de la llegada, dando todo tipo de indicaciones para llegar y donde poder aparcar. Nos pareció un persona fantástica, siempre con conversación, prudente y ayudándonos en todo. La casa está decorada con un gusto exquisito, completamente reformada, todo puesto al detalle y con mimo. Unos desayunos en la parte posterior de la casa al aore libre en el jardín, maravilla, atendidos y servidos con mimo, merece mucho la pena. Solo tengo palabras buenas para la estancia en este precioso lugar. Solo estuvimos un fin de semana, pero nos hubiéramos quedado la semana entera. Gracias por vuestra dedicación y amabilidad.
