excellente surprise
excellente surprise à l'arrivée : ce petit hôtel a un charme fou..dans son cadre de verdure, il ressemble à une hacienda et l'accueil est extrêmement chaleureux .. Les chambres sont simples, mais très propres et la literie est très confortable. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié de dormir dans cet endroit calme et hors du temps, tout en étant à proximité de l 'Escala et de l'Estartit, où nous avions programmé nos visites du week end. Les prix sont incroyables, en plein mois d'août - 28€ pour une chambre d'une personne ! - et le petit déjeuner en terrasse ombragée était vraiment appréciable. Nous y retournerons

Enjoy mosquitos
Worst stay in Spain. Four beds (as per our request) and just one fan (we asked for an extra one and we got a no). Worst of everything full of mosquitos and no protections on the windows. We ended up sleeping (?) with well shut windows, one fan to share, good company of well fed mosquitos, liters of sweat. We just got a mosquito spray which the owner didn't want to five us at the beginning. It's a pity, with just few money (mosquito window protections and electrical device) you might make people happy.

Restaurant: very good tapas
Pensió de l'Avi Pep has a local restaurant, where you can eat some local dishes and spanish tapas. It is located in a little town called Saus, in Girona region, near well-known Costa Brava, in Catalonia. I come here, because I slept this night in the accomodation and I ate, in the terrace, a dish of seafood and a dish of cured ham, which were very good. Also I drank a red local wine. Interesting place,if you are on the way.

Cheap family run hotel.
We have just returned from a two night stay here. We had a week in the south of France and promised our children a few days in northern Spain. As you can imagine this time of year it's very expensive. However , we stumbled across this hotel on booking.com at a very , very cheap rate. Like anything you only get what you pay for. We just needed a hotel simple , cheap and in driving distance to beach and this was perfect for our needs. It's a very simple property, typical spanish . Small rooms , ours had three beds and slept 5 of us. The rooms had a bathroom with shower, b-day, wardrobe . They are not and stuffy but the owner gave us a fan. The owners and staff are amazing, friendly and trusting and will bend backwards for you.
Please if you want quality , large rooms , thick walls, king size beds do your self a favour and don't stay here . It's not fair that customers expect the earth for peanuts and leave a terrible review. This hard working family obviously have a limited budget and work with what they leaving a bad review damages their business. We stayed here knowing exactly what to expect, just somewhere to sleep simple!!
The restaurant is a actually a different side , I'm not sure sane family, but you have to eat here to believe how amazing the food is , price and quality. The staff too are of the highest quality, the restaurant was packed with locals a good sign of successful restaurant .
So over all to us , it was perfect we wanted cheap, basic accommodation and boy we wasn't dissapointed . Thanks so much .

Old hostel, very cheap, too hot in summer
The price is very cheap in the zone and the staff of the hostal is very friendly. The restaurant is very good. OK if you stay here on the way.
On the other hand, it is an old hostel without a lot of comfort. The room is small and it only has a tonel, a bed and a wardrobe. It does not have a fan, so in summer it is too hot.
