Simple hostel, at a good price
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They have a wardrobe, bedside table and desk. You need more plugs on the table and towel racks in the bathroom.
The mattresses and pillows are comfortable and the cleanliness of both the bathroom and the room, is correct.
It is located on the outskirts of Burgos, but there is a bus stop very close, to go downtown in no time. Nearby parking is scarce and it is difficult to find a place.
The only negative is the treatment of the staff, which without being entirely bad, was a bit "dry and austere". Friendliness shone a little by his absence.

Worst experience, paying and not letting you in.
If we had read the reviews of Hostal Acanto we would not have made the reservation, there are many and very bad reviews like : “The worst of the worst”, “Your beds are taken away and you sleep on the floor” (literally) “The hostel is very careless”, “Lousy cleanliness, worse care”. These types of establishments had to be punished, so we will file a claim sheet with the Junta de Castilla y León, for offering a bad Service, poor care and no scruple, for an ill-treatment charge what a Hotel is worth in conditions. Negative also because of the image offered to tourism in Burgos.

LO PEOR DE LO PEOR
When we went up to the second floor we found a pack of children all over the hall. We were surrounded by children and teenagers with their teachers. The worst is when night came. They all started running down the halls, leaving all the rooms and slamming them. They knocked on our door and even opened the door on one of the occasions. In the next room there were 5 children all laughing and giving for cu....lo. Knocking on the door, running, screaming. It was 12 at night and the party was still going on. The teachers who went with them did nothing.
The receptionist had left at 23:00 knowing the brown that left us and that we were taking our dog that we had told her was afraid of people. All the blame lies with this receptionist who should have put us elsewhere or directly would have slept better on the street if she had warned me that we were going to be surrounded by a pack of spoiled, silly children, who had gone to sing in a chorale. I also don't understand that a hostel has no receptionist all night. If this kind of thing happens and you don't call the police, you have to stay with anarchy all night long.
We came from a long trip and needed to rest, like anyone who pays 55€. We weren't busy even though you were busy with them. After not sleeping in 24 hours and having to take a car again, I left that hostel as if I had left an after.
Cleanliness: there was hardly any paper in the room. Hand soap was missing and the shower was with water. There were barely any towels. The mirror looks like it was cleaned by a 5-year-old. And there was a piece of potato dissected in a corner of the table. Come on, they haven't cleaned up for a long time. The room overlooked a room with two washing machines and a rooftop.
We're not coming back, and I hope you'll be closed down soon.
