So conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the Plaça Catalona Airbus stop and Passeig de Gràcia metro station, I found many interesting and beautiful streets for walking.
The 8 bed dorm was clean and the shared bathrooms well maintained and stocked with shampoo and soap, a maid came every day to make up the vacated beds. I stayed 5 days and all the roommates who cycled through were friendly. I never locked up my stuff and felt secure leaving everything out but there is a spacious locker for each bed (bring your own padlock) for those who want it. I chose the mixed gender option, mostly but not exclusively men.
The breakfast buffet is wonderful, they even had oat milk which was especially good for me, great self serve coffee machine and fresh items too many to list.
The pool is outside with spacious decks and chairs, the free WiFi is fast and reliable, easy to log on.
Also a bar, pool table and lounge with big screen TV that always had interesting programming on.
I give TOC hostel five stars without any hesitation!

Checked in and the bed was still a mess from the previous person, some staff were helpful however a few seemed quite rude

Two major thumbs down. Staff (especially night staff) need immediate Customer Service and hotel management remedial training … as their actions breach all conventional worldwide standards (including potential libel issues). Thankfully moved to the Central House Barcelona Gracias for three additional and wonderful nights which completely salvaged the Barcelona leg of my Iberian peninsula trip (let alone much much better location and facilities at the SAME rate).

They definitely do not clean the restrooms and showers, the floors were disgusting.
Everything else was okay. More clealiness please.

First time ever in a hostel and never again! Guy on reception was nice but team are so rude, coming into your guests room without knocking the door and telling them to go out cause they are cleaning is wierd!! Renting towels? Really?!!
Great location tho but i literally slept 6 hours in 3 days trip lol
Guys change the lemon perfume in lobby! It’s so bad!
