Staff are friendly esp the lady that serves breakfast. location is also ideal.. However, the elevator has a stinky, fishy smell when we were there. Shower is also halfway cover only, so water keeps on flowing to the restroom side..

Would definitely book again

I would definitely book here again. We had a lovely double room with kitchenette, which was really handy. The room was clean and very reasonably priced. Staff on reception were very helpful. We didn’t use the restaurant but it looked lovely.
It is also very well situated within the city- being a 5 minute walk from 2 metro stations.

Terrible experience

My husband and I stayed here for one night with another couple, and the experience didn’t meet even the most basic expectations.
The biggest problem was that the toilet in our room was completely out of order. Overnight, we ended up having to improvise by pouring water into it just to get it to flush. That’s not something anyone should have to deal with in a hotel — a working toilet is a basic necessity, not an added extra.
There were also a few minor cleanliness issues, such as ants in the room and some mould in the bathroom. While these weren’t the main concern, they didn’t exactly give a good impression.
We reported the faulty toilet to staff and asked about compensation, but were only offered a 5% refund - roughly £11. Considering the room didn’t even have a usable toilet, this felt wholly inadequate and quite dismissive. The response seemed more about sticking rigidly to policy than fairly addressing the situation.
Even if the issue has now been resolved, I wouldn’t return. The way it was handled, combined with the lack of proper compensation, says a lot about how guests are treated.

Three night family break

A decent location for where we wanted to explore.
Staff were friendly.
Room was clean and relatively spacious.
Extra clothes hangers needed.
Shower can flood the bathroom floor a bit.
We didn’t have any food in the hotel.
Lacking in atmosphere a little.

29 degrees at night in the apartment: horrible experience

Very bad experience at this property. Upon entering the apartment I open the bedroom closet and a wall complaint falls. I inform the reception directly so that my deposit of 100€ is not used. But that in the end is not very serious.
I also ask at reception how to set the temperature in the apartment because the thermostat in the room did not work. I am told “22 degrees is a normal temperature in Barcelona, the setting is central you can not change anything”. It was also noted that in the bathroom, the air blew more than 25 degrees of heat continuously.
Result of the shopping we woke up it was 28.5 degrees in the apartment, and more than 30 degrees in the bathroom. We struggled suffocated all night with our 3-year-old son. I inform the reception in the morning, no excuses, no commercial gestures, NOTHING. The lady at the reception tells us “the person at yesterday’s reception is new, she didn’t know how to do it”.
Very noisy street side, poor sound insulation.
On the second day we leave the apartment in the early afternoon and ask if the apartment can be cleaned and the towels changed, we are told “it is not possible that until 10 am in the morning if no one is in the apartment and you have to put the paper “please clean” on the door”
I replied that we left at 8:15 in the morning and returned at 10:30 past, and that we had put the paper on the door. She answers almost nothing by saying “I will ask but I guarantee nothing”. Attitude clearly casual, I explain to her that we are a client and that we have already spent a night under 30 degrees with a three-year-old, she seemed to give a damn.
Not friendly, not commercial. No information about Barcelona, map, map, or suggestions, in short a first and a last.
