Historic Character Hotel

Lovely old building full of character, very comfortable room and it was very clean. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, would have liked to have seen the character of the rooms in the older part of the hotel but didn't have time for that. The room we stayed in was spacious and light. The restaurant in the Plaza Cervantes is lovely and less than 1 minutes walk away for food. Or for more choice Plaza Espana is about 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

THE HOTEL OF HORRORS IN BADAJOZ

We stayed 3 people at the Cervantes hotel in Badajoz from 22 to 23 March and unfortunately, our experience has been very negative due to lack of cleanliness and hygiene.
Since we arrived we realized that the rooms were not properly clean (dirty sheets , uncleaned bathrooms, rooms with accumulated dust, presence of insects, bad smells, humidity etc..) Despite talking to the hotel staff, the solution was insufficient or non-existent. They just gave us clean sheets and we went to a drugstore to buy material to clean it ourselves and so we had to do.
And since we already had the hotel paid in advance, we saw each other with nerves, another hotel..,where to go!!!!!
The common areas were also not in the best condition, demonstrating a general lack of maintenance and care.
We warned no one to go to this hotel that looked like the “House of Horrors”
A shame to come across this....in the center of Badajoz!!
We're going to report to Sanitation and hope that at least the hotel is closed to them, and that no one can be fooled. And apart from the absolute dirt, the bad treatment given by the person who was at the reception.

A place with a lot of potential, although perhaps it has seen better days.

A typical building from the beginning of the 20th century located in the heart of Badajoz.
Although it is true that it could do with a renovation, it has all the basics for a stay. Without great luxuries but correct and family treatment.
Although it is true that it is somewhat dilapidated, the building has a lot of charm and apart from small details, such as not being able to hang the shower, the hotel is good in general.
The truth is that a good renovation could turn it into a "top" place.

Sucio y desagradable

Very good location
