Clean, basic, convenient for station.

I arrived on an early flight and I was able to book in at midday, the room was cool, the bed comfy, and just a few minutes from the station, which was perfect, as I was needing buses every day. Very clean. If you don't want to walk to the centre for food and drinks, there is an excellent, smart tapas bar just nearby, on the way to the station. Good wi-fi in the room. Bathroom a bit old fashioned, nowhere to attach showerhead on the wall, so that could be improved.
Unfortunately there was no lift (although I did like the keep fit notices up the stairs!), so for me with a big suitcase, that was a bit annoying, and nobody offered to help. Seemed to be a sort of breakfast possibility in the passage by the entrance, very basic, but nobody explained it, however, there's a cafe next door. Price was correct, although I stayed in a much nicer hostel for less in Almunecar the following 3 nights.

The worst hostel I have ever stayed in.

I checked in for two nights which came to an eye-watering 68 euros for a single bed room. There was no air con just a fan which wasn't strong, the room itself was dark, and unwelcoming in design. (There is also no access to a kitchen or offer of water you can drink, you can't drink the water in Almeria.)
The reception staff were terrible- unfriendly and unaccomodating. One man there watched me carry 3 heavy suitcases in different loads without offering to help me due to the lack of elevator. I also asked to use their wifi to check where online I could find my next hostel destination, however this was too much for them so they kicked me out. Very dissapointing, really wouldn't recommend.

Basic

Not very welcoming reception area but staff friendly enough. Basic room with small bathroom, no hook for shower and noisy air con. Good points are it's closeness to rail and bus stations and fairly clean. Like other reviewers have stayed in better hostals for the price we paid.

Pricey for what you get

This is a very basic budget hotel. One big advantage is that it's very close to the combined bus/train station. It's a 15 - 20 minute walk to the historical city. The first impression of this hotel is very depressing. The reception area is behind a locked cage !!!! So when I arrived, I felt like I was in one of those very cheap, flea-bag hotels I used to stay in when I was much younger in rough parts of American cities. The two people I dealt with at reception were very pleasant - but speak virtually no English. The room was not very welcoming either - very basic décor. But it's clean. The bathroom is pretty small. The windows in the two rooms I saw were both frosted, so you can only look outside if you open them.
This is a very basic (but clean) hotel. I found it expensive for what you get.

Thank you so much for your opinion in TripAdvisor site.
As you told me, the most important value in this establishent is the cleaning.
Regarding the hall of my hotel, i have to say, it is a typical special Andalusian entrance.
Moreover our hotel is located in the center of the town.
Nowadays we are redecorating our rooms in order to improve our service we have carry out some improvements like WI-FI into the rooms.
As you can appreciate we continue improving our English knowledge each day. We wish see you in your next travel in order to show you our typical Andalusian culture.
Sincerely.

Good value for money

The hostal is in a good location as we were staying in Almeria for a football match. The bath /shower was to small to be of any use. A/C good. Clean. Electric wouldn't take a small kettle that we brought with us without cuting out.Good tapas bar 2 doors away. Free parking across the street. Free WI FI was invalueable for us.

Very good location
