Amazing

First time in Rwanda and this made me love Rwanda more. The apartment is amazing and really comfortable. It had all the amenities I needed and it was very clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was good too. I will surely visit again.

First 2 week in Kigali - Rwanda

My first time in Kigali on a business trip
I have in the evening and was driven from the airport to Park View Courts. At first I felt the ambience of the location and the terrain (Kigali is full of hills)
I first met up with the receptionist Alice was very welcoming and became my sister afterwards. After signing the paperwork, I was accompanied to my apartment which has the Living room, kitchen and dining room downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. This a well kept fully furnished apartments but the only missing is a washing machine because the apartment offers laundry services.
One good thing about park view courts is that it has a restaurant that offers a wide range of cuisine and this can be delivered to ur room at no extra cost. The staffs are nice and good at wat they do.
Park view doesn't have a gym or a pool but that is not a problem cos they share wall with the Nyarutarama sports complex which all sports u can think of.
Talking of internet, park view has a free WiFi connection 24/7 although this can be slow sometimes.
Overall, park view is a nice and a safe place to Lodge in Kigali as you will have access to many facilities such as shops ans restaurants around

The Park View - an option for a longer stay client but certainly not a full service hotel.

The name already indicates that this is an apartment hotel and therefore probably more suitable for longer stay guests than visitors for just a night or two who may not need a kitchenette or a sitting room, especially when separated from the bedroom by one floor level.
For guests staying longer, who supply themselves with their daily necessities, this may work well but for a one off visitor who hopes to find a bottle of water, or tea bags, creamer, sweetener etc - such items are not provided for by the hotel nor are shampoos or lotion in the bathroom.
That said, the very friendly staff at the small restaurant were more than happy to part with a fistful of teabags to put the kettle in the kitchenette to some use and thankfully I always carry a small supply of shampoo etc so I managed for the two nights I was booked there.
The bedrooms are adequately equipped but lack a desk so one has to go into the downstairs sitting room and either work from the dining table or the coffee table.
At the first night's dinner the restaurant took over 70 minutes to start serving the order, but the wait as worth it for the soup which was excellent. The quality of the main course was ok and the portion fit to feed a giant.
Lesson learned I ordered breakfast before leaving after supper, only to find the staff arriving late the next morning, resulting in a mighty rush to get breakfast underway. On return in the evening I made sure I placed my order for dinner before going to the room and indeed, when getting to the restaurant at the agreed time, the food was served promptly and with apologies for the delays the previous night and in the morning. Friendliness was felt and it was genuine!
The hotel, set over several levels, is certainly not suitable for guests who have physical challenges, as the stairs between the apartments AND inside the apartments to the upper floor cannot be used by someone who relies on a wheel chair. In fact the stairs are challenging for anyone with even small walking problems.
A quiet place, without too much traffic passing by and not too far from both airport and city is the Park View certainly an option for guest staying longer and wanting to perhaps cook themselves once in a while or fill the fridge with their favourite snacks. But for an avid business traveler who expects room service and a filled minibar, teabags, coffee, water, shampoos and body lotion, that one should perhaps look for other full service hotels to stay in.

A Great Place to stay!

Upon first glance the upkeep of the property and facilities are exceptional; furthermore, the quality and maintenance of each living unit is admirable. I really enjoyed my stay, from interacting with the staff, to the delicious on-site restaurant menu, to the bedroom inside the apartment unit. I actually stayed there a few days, left for about a week and a half then returned and the staff still remembered me, even greeted me by name! Mr. Peter, the man in charge, is very personable and sincerely concerned about your joy and satisfaction during your stay. He even spent a day touring town with myself and other residents! I greatly appreciated their service and completely enjoyed my time there.
